Homologation testing of electric bicycle fork
Bejdák, Jan ; Suchý, Jan (referee) ; Hurník, Jakub (advisor)
Currently, the popularity and demand for e-bikes is growing rapidly. E-bikes entering the European market must meet a series of safety requirements included in the type-approval. This work deals with the prediction of the result of mechanical static testing of an e-bike fork according to the valid European standard. The prediction is formulated on the basis of FEM simulations of the mentioned tests and optical experimental measurements performed for the purpose of validating the simulations. The results of both approaches are compared and critically evaluated. The sample of the tested fork met the requirements set by the standard. Requirements for the prediction of a non-particulate test are set.
Design of the hatch opening system
Zbořil, David ; Hurník, Jakub (referee) ; Zatočilová, Aneta (advisor)
This work tries to design a cover that is suitable for paving or grassing and its opening mechanism. The hatch has atypical dimensions and there are requirements for maximum deflection on the roads. The lid of the cover will be filled with the surrounding material, so it will be very heavy. Therefore, it is necessary to look for an opening mechanism that opens the heavy cover with one possible and available deformation strength of the cover. The work summarizes the necessary information for the design of the cover and its opening mechanism. The work is suitable for anyone who would be interested in the design of the cover opening mechanism.
Development of color filter wheel
Kilián, Ondřej ; Koutecký, Tomáš (referee) ; Hurník, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor thesis aims to showcase designing process of the device and control software and subsequent realisation of a filter wheel for research applications, which is designed specifically for a ZWO ASI 1600MM camera, ZEISS Interlock® Compact lenses and optic filters produced by company Schneider-Kreuznach. This configuration of camera and lenses doesn’t allow use of existing products on the market.
Optical measurement of deformations of flange joints
Schmidtová, Markéta ; Mendřický, Radomír (referee) ; Hurník, Jakub (advisor)
The diploma thesis addresses the topic of optical measurements of flange joints during tightening and thermal loading. Commercially available optical systems with decreasing invasiveness were compared in opportunity which offer to an industrial environment. Various conditions are evaluated in 3D (scanning, DIC) as well as in 2D (DIC). The data for evaluation of sensitivity and system accuracy together with the evaluation of the data range were obtained by the measurement. Data evaluation showed the same accuracy for 2D and 3D system and the possibility of quality inspection of the joint by assessing the inspection dimensions in operation.
Educational exercise for comparison of binary and Gray coding strategy and clarification of 3D scanning processes
David, Jan ; Hurník, Jakub (referee) ; Koutecký, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the educational exercise for comparison of binary and Gray coding strategy and clarification of 3D scanning processes of the structured light projection method. The aim of this thesis is to compile the educational exercise with using extend software for 3D scanner, which was developed on Institute of Machine and Industrial Design. The individual process steps of 3D scanning will be clearly described and illustrated. Then, the software will be modified in the Matlab software environment.
3D scene reconstruction using passive camera strereo-pair
Fronc, Leoš ; Zatočilová, Aneta (referee) ; Hurník, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents an overview of current methods for the 3D reconstruction of the scene using a passive stereo camera. Two main approaches are described and compared in this thesis – the feature points triangulation and the disparity map. The following methods are described below and compared with their qualities. On the basis of this comparison, conclusions are drawn about the choice of suitable approaches and methods for specific applications. Finally, a simple example is created which illustrates the use of these methods in practice.
Optimizing the calibration of the cameras of photogrammetric system designed for the measurement of rotationally symmetric forgings
Hurník, Jakub ; Navrátil, Robert (referee) ; Zatočilová, Aneta (advisor)
At present, there are only a few systems in the world, that allow measurement of the dimensional accuracy of hot forgings directly in the manufacturing process. This work deals with the development of the calibration method of the cameras for the developed photogrammetric system, intended for the mentioned purposes. The conditions of measurement are very specific - high temperature and large dimensions of measured semi-finished products, environment of heavy industry. Employed methods are chosen with the emphasis on reliability of the system, taking into account the demanding conditions in the industrial premises. Calibration is designed for a large field of view, utilizing coded reference points in a scene with known spatial coordinates. The result of the work is the calibration software created in the MATLAB environment.
Camera cover design for industrial environment
Knoth, Tomáš ; Koutecký, Tomáš (referee) ; Hurník, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of a camera housing for industrial environment. In opposite to the solutions available on the market, the designed housing is adapted to a specific measuring application, which in addition to common parameters such as thermoregulatory properties and degree of protection requires weight reduction, camera mounting stiffness, optical parameters of the window and easy maintenance of the housing. The required properties of the newly designed housing were achieved, among other measures, by minimizing the volume of steel and applying an insulation material. The resulting design has about 47 % lower heat gain and its weight is 69 % lower compared to the housings now used in this specific application. This housing will help enhance the properties of a photogrammetric system for measuring of forgings which is being developed at the Institute of Machine and Industrial Design, FME BUT.
Forging measurement using passive stereo vision
Vítek, Petr ; Mendřický, Radomír (referee) ; Hurník, Jakub (advisor)
The measurement of forgings in the hot state allows for the adjustment of their dimensions and shape, which increases the efficiency of the production process, energy savings and less technological additions of material. A possible alternative to conventional approaches for measuring hot forgings is the application of passive stereovision, which is the focus of this paper. The objectives are to determine the accuracy of this approach with respect to conventional conditions, to highlight the scale structure for the detection of significant points and to select a method for surface detection and reconstruction. The proposed method allows surface reconstruction with an accuracy worse by one order of magnitude, compared to measurements under normal conditions. In a measurement volume of 0.3 m3, the standard deviation of points in the space of 0.28 mm was determined. A band-pass filter transmitting green light spectrum was chosen to represent the forging structure based on the study of spatial frequencies and experimental testing. The KAZE method achieved the highest number of detected feature points on the forging surface.
Hydrogen as an alternative fuel for internal combustion engines
Hurník, Jakub ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The object of this bachelor’s thesis is to analyse characteristics of hydrogen and it’s suitability for internal combustion engines used in transportation technologies. The thesis begins with some significant reasons for implementation of alternative fuels, the main part is focused on hydrogen technologies and it finishes with short prediction of the use of hydrogen in the future. The potential of this fuel is analysed from all important points of view, which means its production, storage, ecology and construction of hydrogen powered engines. The thesis also contains summary of current hydrogen technologies, their comparation, and comparation with current conventional engine technologies.
