Changes of arthritis difficulties in obese patients in relation to the changes of body weight and physical activity

The aim of this Bachelor Thesis is to determine how arthritic difficulties will change in relation to changes in weight (reduction) and physical activity. The Bachelor Thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part discusses the formation, diagnostics, risks, causes, medical complications and treatment of obesity. There is also a description of arthritis, where is mentioned how arthritis arises, how is manifested and diagnosed, what are the therapeutic possibilities. Different types of osteoarthritis are listed for an overwiev too. There is also introduced a chapter about physical activity and patient motivation, because proper personal motivation is one of the most important condition for reducing overweight or obesity. The practical part is focused on research arthritic difficulties before and after the change of body weight and physical activity. To evaluate changes in the persons, quantitative research using a questionnaire was chosen. Key words: Obesity, overweight, physical activity, osteoarthritis, arthritic difficulties, risk factors.

Alena Homolková Oponent: Title of bachelor thesis: The impact of physiotherapy on bodily parameters and load tolerance in obese patients Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with the impact of physiotherapy on bodily parameters and load tolerance in obese patients. It also concerns with the clinical application of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) in obese patients with the aid of the Brief Core Set for obesity. This work is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part contains basic information about obesity, definition, etiology, diagnosis, medical complications associated with obesity and its treatment. Furthermore, it presents the basic characteristics and description of the Brief ICF Core Set for obesity. Practical part gives an overview of the methodology, the methods used in the examination and treatment. It also includes two case reports of selected patients. These reports consist of entrance and final examination, which contains the Brief ICF Core Set for obesity. The possibilities of influencing the stability of walking in geriatric patients

Title of thesis: The possibilities of influencing the stability of walking in geriatric patients Abstract: This bacherol thesis addresses gait disorder therapy in geriatric patients. Good stability is a fundamental prerequisite for quality gait. The stable and quality gait is key to preserve the self-sufficiency, therefore the physiotherapy bears great importance. The theoretic part aims at the geriatric patient and lists possibilities how we can influence the stability. The practical part contains the case study of two patients with the goal to verify one of the possibilities how to influence stability in the real life. The method of senzimotor stimulation was choosen. The terapies were going on in two weeks. Both patients had undergone ten therapies and every took approximately 30 minutes. For comparison, we have used standardized tests which are described in the theoretical part. The output testing confirm the improvement, was achieved better gait stability and certainty in both cases. Key words: geriatric patient, stability, gait, walking investigation, sensorimotor
