The influence of the surface pretreatment of boron doped diamond electrodes on electrochemical oxidation of phenol and its derivatives

The aim of this thesis is the study of electrochemical oxidation of para-substituted phenol derivates using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and ,,direct current" voltammetry (DCV) on boron-doped diamond electrode (BDD) and comparison with some analogous meta-substituted compounds. Among the studied substances were p-cresol, 4-methoxyphenol, 4-hydroxybenzoic acid, 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propionic acid, 4-nitrophenol, 4-chlorophenol and 3-(trifluoromethyl)phenol. The oxidation of the analytes was performed in an acidic (pH 2,0) and basic (pH 11,0) Britton-Robinson buffer on mechanically polished, oxidated and hydrogenated surfaces. Another subject of the thesis is to analyze the influence of different substituents, characterized by the Hammett constant, on the oxidation potential of selected phenols. They are oxidized at more positive redox potentials in acidic media, than in basic media, where they are dissociated. The oxidation on the polished and hydrogenated surfaces were similar, whereas were shifted to higher values on the oxidated surface. Further, the signal intensity decreased on the oxidated one, and the oxidation of phenols was not recognizable in basic media. The passivation of the electrode was less significant in pH 2,0 buffer. Development of electrophoretic method for determination of sulphate in blood plasma

Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo vyvinout metodu pro stanovení síranů v krevní plazmě pomocí kapilární zónové elektroforézy. Byla použita křemenná kapilára o vnitřním průměru 50 μm a efektivní délce 41,5 cm. Plazmatické proteiny byly sráženy acetonitrilem. Jako optimální základní elektrolyt byla určena 0,4M kyselina mravenčí s 15mM chromanem draselným. Separační napětí bylo 25 kV. Vzorek byl dávkován napětím -5 kV po dobu 40 s. K vyhodnocení byla využita nepřímá UV detekce při 260 nm. Vzhledem ke složité matrici je vhodné provést kvantifikaci metodou standardního přídavku. Po vztažení ploch píků na vnitřní standard (500μM chlorečnany) byla relativní směrodatná odchylka 5,97 %. Inbound marketing of Nestlé in the area of infant formula

This master's thesis deals with inbound marketing of Nestlé in the area of infant formula. Its aim is to determine whether inbound marketing is a suitable tool for infant formula promotion which is strongly regulated. The thesis is based on a comprehensive analysis of the area of infant formula and analysis of inbound marketing strategy of one of the most dominant companies on the market, Nestlé. In the beginning, attention is focused on important milestones of the development of infant formula and on a case which caused an important change in the promotion of infant formula, Nestlé boycott. The following section deals with the supervision and marketing regulation both in international and the European law. The final chapter of the first part emphasizes on philosophy of inbound marketing. The second part is introduced by outlining the current situation both on global and the Czech market of infant formula. Then, attention is focused on Nestlé. Its introduction is followed by analysis of company's inbound marketing strategy which is then evaluated. For this purpose, analysis of the effectiveness of marketing tools is made with regard to strategic goals of the company.

Current China's approach to regionalism

The thesis focuses on current China's approach to regionalism. It puts this trend into the broader context of China's foreign trade policy, explains the reasons behind that shift towards free trade agreements and identifies motives that play a crucial role in the selection of potential partner countries. An integral part of the work is the analysis of foreign trade of China and various agreements that significantly contribute to the deepening of economic ties between the countries. The text is supplemented by numerical and graphical data to demonstrate the presented information effectively. The conclusion highlights the goals and motives of China's foreign trade policy, as well as a prediction of the potential role and importance of regionalism in the future.
