Hladíková, Lenka ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Grill, Stanislav (referee)
Application of GIS in water management in Dobříšsko Abstract This thesis deals with the use of the geoinformation systems (GIS) in water management. The change of water resources (river network, water areas and wetlands) in Dobříšsko region over the last 150 years is analyzed here. This analysis was processed by using historical maps of the 2nd military mapping, 3rd military mapping, maps of the General Staff of the Czechoslovak army from the 1950s of the 20th century and the current database of hydrological and water management data called DIBAVOD. Then the issue of water accumulation in the region is solved by using hydrological tools provided by the software ArcGIS 9.3. All created data are stored in a geodatabase and they will serve for needs of a company Vodohospodářská společnost Dobříš. Keywords: GIS, water management, hydrologic modelling
Bullying in the Intensive Care Units
Samcová, Olga ; Mellanová, Alena (advisor) ; Hladíková, Lenka (referee)
Bullying in the intensive care units. The main mission of this thesis is to describe an issue called mobbing. The primary target is to get information about rate of bullying in the intensive care units in south Bohemia, especially in Prachatice and Strakonice city and to know how many percent of employees / paramedics of the intensive care units were already touched by bullying. This kind of information we got by anonymous questionnaires, set up from 23 questions with open and closed form. In theoretical part I deal with actual status, explaining term of mobbing, bossing, causes of bullying, characteristic of the participants, bullying in the health service in the Czech republic. In the conclusion I show prevention and tolerance of mobbing and bossing. In practical part I point on assesment of hypothesis and evaluation of the target of my thesis. I suppose that the chicane show up in small measure on the workplace of the intensive care units. From my point of view I think that women working in the intensive care units are getting in a touch of bullying much more than men. In this part I want to show a methodology of research, parameter of complex and evaluation of research. In conclusion I get back to evaluation of research and starting a discussion. Key words: mobbing, bullying, bossing, conflict,...
Androcentrism in contemporary spoken British English
Hladíková, Lenka ; Brůhová, Gabriela (advisor) ; Tichý, Ondřej (referee)
The present thesis deals with the frequency and ways of using gender-specific and gender- neutral occupational labels and attempts to show if there is a tendency towards a more balanced representation of men and women in the contemporary spoken British English. The theoretical part describes the approaches to the study of language from the perspective of gender and summarises the previous research in the area of gender linguistics, focusing on the representation of men and women through language, linguistic androcentrism and sexism, language reforms proposed within the framework of equality movements and the impact of these reforms. The empirical part examines the frequencies and ways of using occupational -man compounds and compares them to their female and gender-neutral alternatives in the British parliamentary speeches, using the data from the Hansard corpus. The compounds with -man can be viewed as problematic since, from a feminist viewpoint, they contribute to linguistic invisibility of women, therefore efforts have been made to eliminate their usage. This thesis shows that overall the occupational -man forms tend to prevail over -woman, -person and other alternatives in the British parliamentary debates. However, it appears that with some occupations gender-neutral forms are becoming...
Copernicus v roce 2015 a situace v České republice
Hladíková, Lenka
Ve dnech 12.–13. května 2015 proběhlo 4. české uživatelské fórum Copernicus, spoluorganizované CENIA, českou informační agenturou životního prostředí, Ministerstvem životního prostředí a Ministerstvem dopravy. Partnery akce konané pod záštitou ministra životního prostředí byly Technologické centrum AV ČR, Projekt EOPOWER a Přírodovědecká fakulta Univerzity Karlovy v Praze a firma Arcdata Praha s.r.o.

Evropský program Copernicus: Vstup do operační fáze

Corpus based description of processes of lexical semantic change in the Early Modern English period
Hladíková, Lenka ; Tichý, Ondřej (advisor) ; Klégr, Aleš (referee)
This thesis deals with the processes of lexical semantic change in the Early Modern English period. The theoretical part summarises previous research in the area of lexical semantic change including the basic taxonomies from secondary literature and outlines the linguistic situation in Early Modern English. The aim of the practical part of the thesis is to analyse qualitatively the processes of semantic change in 5 selected words on the basis of examples extracted from the corpora (CED, PCEEC, PPCEME, PPCME2 and EEBO), i.e. to describe circumstances of the changes and factors influencing the individual instances of change. The results of the qualitative analysis are confronted with the theories of semantic change discussed in the first part of the thesis.

Women are better informed in the section of cardiovascular diseases than men. 14 individuals out of 89 members of research is interested in the issue of cardiovascular diseases. Only 12 individuals is adequately informed of the issue of cardiovascular disease. Work includes eating plan...
Monitoring of chemical parameters of mining waters from hyperspectral image data
Hladíková, Lenka ; Kupková, Lucie (advisor) ; Brodský, Lukáš (referee)
Monitoring of Chemical Parameters of Mining Waters from Hyperspectral Image Data Abstract The thesis deals with utilization of hyperspectral image data for mining water quality monitoring. Sokolov lignite basin, facing many environmental problems caused by brown coal mining activities is the area of interest. Airborne hyperspectral image data acquired by the HyMap sensor in 2009 and 2010 and ground truth data - chemical and physical parameters of water samples are the main data sources for the thesis. Practical part aims at estimating of the amount of the dissolved iron and suspended sediments in selected water bodies. Two approaches were used to achieve this goal - the empirically derived relationship between the ground measurements and reflectance of the water bodies, and spectral unmixing method. Comparison of the two mentioned approaches and evaluation of validity to use the proposed methods for the data acquired by the same sensor one year later is also a part of this thesis.
