Quality of life of patients after kidney transplantation

Bachelor thesis "Quality of life in patients after kidney transplant" deals with issue of patient´s quality of livfe before and after transplantation. The objective of this thesis was to map quality of life before and after kidney transplantation in several dimensions - physical functioning, physical limitation, general health, vitality, social functioning, emotional issues and mental health. In theoretial section is presented overview of kidney diseasees, proces of transplantation and quality of life. In empirical section are presented methods of data collection, realisation of survey and results of this investigation. Chosen Method was standardized questionaire SF-36 supplemented with soci-demographic and health related information questionaire devised by autor. It was distributed among patients of nefrological ambulantory practice in IKEM which underwent kidney transplantation. Results: Quality of life of patients after udergoing tranplantation of kidney was better then before transplantationin these areas: perception of one`s own health, walking up the stirs one and more floors, walking hundred meters, managing worload, lesser difficulities in activities of daily living. Quality of working life of Czech nurses and its changes over time

The bachelor's thesis named The quality of the working life of Czech nurses and its changes over time is about the quality of life, the quality of working life and the quality of the working life of nurses, which is discussed in the theoretical part of the thesis. Aims: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to find out what the quality of the working life of Czech nurses is now, what it was like 10 years ago and to compare those results. Methods: Data was collected in selected departments at the Motol University Hospital, both inpatient and outpatient types of workplaces. The target group consisted pediatric and general nurses. Microsoft Forms online form was used to colect data, Microsoft Excel and Statistica CZ 12 were used for data processing. 90 valid questionnaires were included in the study. Results: The quality of the working life of Czech nurses has increased slightly over the course of 10 years. Nurses rate the quality of working life slightly more positively than the citizens of the Czech Republic (according to data available from the portal Pracovní pohoda, portal dedicated to measuring the quality of working life, in which the Occupational Safety Research Institute, v. v. i. and the Sociological Institute of the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, v. v. i....
Occupational injuries among perioperative nurses

The bachelor thesis entitled "Occupational injuries of nurses in perioperative care" addresses the issue of occupational health and safety of perioperative nurses. The operating room environment is very specific and perioperative nurses are exposed to various hazards in their work. Objectives: The aim of this study is to determine the frequency and cause of occupational injuries of perioperative nurses in the course of their profession. Methods: In order to achieve the aim of the work, a questionnaire survey was carried out, the target group of which was all perioperative nurses working in the central operating theatres for adults and central operating theatres for children at Motol University Hospital. The survey included 37 completed questionnaires. Results: Based on the statistical evaluation of the data, it was found that 43,24 % of the respondents had an occupational injury in the last year. The most frequent injuries involved sharp instruments, specifically sewing needles and scalpels. The most common circumstance of injury was receiving the instrument from the doctor, due to haste or lack of time. Post-qualification education of urological nurses in Czechia and other EU countries

This bachelor's thesis is focused on mapping out the possibilities of post-qualification education of nurses working in the field of urology in the Czech Republic and in chosen countries of the European union, which are Sweden, Ireland, Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, and Poland. It documents the history of education of nurses, as the history of urology. It offers a more detailed description of the current educational system of nurses and the possibilities of post-qualification specialisation in the Czech Republic and the six chosen countries. In the discussion part of the thesis is a summary of information from scientific studies and sources relevant to the topic pointing to the benefits of wider possibilities of post- qualification education of nurses in urology, and to the importance of a continuing education.
Subjective perception of nurses fatigue in the ward with Covid-19 positive patients

The bachelor thesis deals with the workload of nurses caring for COVID-19 positive patients. The aim of the questionnaire survey was to determine the workload of these nurses and to determine whether the workload of the Covid-type ward exceeds the workload of the standard non-Covid ward. Data collection took place in the inpatient, ICU and ARO wards of the Rudolf and Stefanie Hospital in Benešov, which cared for COVID-19 positive patients. The questionnaire survey took place from November 2021 to January 2022. The target group of respondents consisted of practical and general nurses. A data sheet created by Microsoft Excel was used for data processing, and STATISTICA CZ 12 was used for basic statistical analyzes and frequency tables. From the results of the survey it was found that the share, resp. 73.44 % of respondents reported a rate of subjective experiences that matched congestion in Covid's department. 90.63 % of respondents reported a share of subjective experiences in the Covid department that corresponded to monotony. History of the Congregation of Sister of Mercy of St. Boromeo and of its actvities in the territory of Prague

It is a historically descriptive bachelor thesis, which briefly describes the history of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy of St. Charles Borromeo. The paper documents the establishment of the Congregation in the 17th century in France, the arrival of the first nuns to the Czech lands and first years of their work in our country. Elaborately is described the origin and development of the Hospital of Sisters of Mercy of St. Charles Borromeo and of the first motherhouse of the Congregation in Bohemia which was once an integral part of the hospital. Equally thoroughly pay thesis attention to the monastery in Praha 6 - Řepy, which was also founded by the Congregation and where used to be an orphanage, a prison for women and an institute for oligofrenics. Vividly portrayed are the activities of the Congregation during the Second World War and its destiny after the communist takeover in 1948. For completeness is also mentioned history after the 1989 and current activities of nuns in the Czech Republic. At the end of the paper is described the functioning of the nursing school run by the Congregation during the time period from 1939 to1952. For better context is this chapter preceded by a description of the history of nursing education in the Czech from the 19th to mid-20th century.
Psychological stress of selected group of nurses at work

Bachelor work focuses on the perception of mental stress of nurses working at the standard ward on the Internal and Surgical cloníc of 2nd Fakulty of Medicine Charles University, and 3rd Surgial Clinict of 1.LF. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on the definition of occupational nurses and the role for which it stands. The next section describes the definition of the concepts of mental stress and related types of stress, course and symptoms of stress, stress management and prevention. Are described somatic and psychological problems caused by chronic stress. After that there conclude in the theoretical part, there is burnout, which is the worst result in long-term effects of stress on the nurse. The empirical part of the thesis presents the results of a survey carried out by nurses at mentionet clinics in FN Motol. The questionnaire survey was conducted using a standardized questionnaire Meister, which determines the perception of mental stress. Bachelor dissertation "Nurses knowledge level about first aid administration" investigates theoretical preparedness of nurses to administer first aid care. The thesis consists of theoretical and empirical parts. Theoretical part focuses on main principles to administer first aid. Empirical part includes the results of research in selected sample of nurses. The research was conducted at four types of inpatients clinic of Faculty hospital Motol by means of structured questionnaire. Conclusion summarizes research results and evaluates aims of study.
