POSTAVENÍ VALONSKÝCH STRAN V LETECH 1999-2012 Bakalářská práce Zuzana Jílková Abstract Bachelor thesis Political parties in Wallonia, 1999-2012 analyses four Walloon parties (Socialist Party (PS), Reform Movement (MR), Humanist democratic centre (cdH) and Association for the organization of the original environmentalists fight (Ecolo)) and their effect on development of the federalization of Belgium. In this work the election results of the parties are presented in detail at the provincial, regional, national and supranational levels. Then the work observes the presence of the parties in coalition, symmetry and asymmetry across levels of governments and coordination across levels in parties, between governments and within coalitions. The aim of this study is to evaluate the influence of political parties in the development of the federalization of Belgium. Resource base is made up of election results from the official website of the Belgian state institutions, of the general literature about elections, political parties and formation of coalitions and of political party's direct expression.

Representation of National Minorities in the Parliaments of the Post-Yugoslav States

Skúmanie štátov bývalej Juhoslávie je vďaka nesustále pretrvávajúcemu napätiu a sporom medzi jednotlivými etnickým skupinami naďalej aktuálnou témou. Nesporne dôležitým faktorom pri zmierňovaní medzietnického napätia je inkluzívna politika voči národnostným menšinám, ktorá môže predchádzať pocitu vylúčenia a marginalizácii menšinových záujmov najmä legálnou podporou reprezentácie národnostných menšín v parlamente. Takáto forma reprezentácia dáva národnostnej menšine možnosť podieľať sa na tvorbe politiky, rozhodovacom procese a deľbe moci a získať sebavedomie, že jej záujmy sú zastupované. Práve reprezentácia národnostných menšín v štátoch bývalej Juhoslávie je vpredmetom výskumu tejto bakalárskej práce, pričom na reprezentáciu je nahliadané najmä z hľadiska toho, akým spôsobom získavajú národnostné menšiny kreslá v parlamente a aký vplyv má volebný systém a jeho špecifické opatrenia na výsledné zastúpenie národnostných menšín v legislatívnom orgáne. Hlavným cieľom práce je tieto podmienky nadobúdania deskriptívnej reprezentácie navzájom porovnať a zároveň porovnať vplyv jednotlivých volebných systémov a špeciálnych opatrení využívaných v danej oblasti na mieru zastúpenia národnostných menšín v jednotlivých parlamentoch. It can be classified within social sciences as a part of political science, specifically as a part of comparative political science and electoral studies. The subject of this thesis is electoral design and electoral engineering. Its cases are political and electoral systems in the Post-Yugoslav area up to 2012. The importance of this topic consists in the fact that it is not entirely explored topic. On that account it deserves attention from both empirical and theoretical perspective. The research of electoral design and electoral engineering is one of the most promising courses of contemporary political science. The Post-Yugoslav area offers an ideal environment for comparative political science in general and comparative approach due to its common historical and institutional grounds, but different political and institutional development after the disintegration. Influence of the elections and electoral systems on dissolution of the Socialist federal republic of Yugoslavia

The author is concerned with the influence of elections and electoral systems on dissolution of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia at example of Slovenia and Croatia in his contribution from the field of political science. He analyses the role of elections and electroral systems in the republic parliaments of Slovenia and Croatia on the basis of methodological procedures and theoretical concepts. It is done primarily by the transformation of allocation of political power before and after the elections and also by the consequences of the elections. Together with it the reader is briefed by the basic facts about dissolution of Yugoslavia and emergence of selected successor countries. The infuence of elections at the level of republics consisted in the legitimization of transformation of allocation of political power toward to the republics and in the legitimization of democratic way above all. The influence of electoral systems consisted in proportion of the results above all. The elections at the level of republics simplified the decentralization of Yugoslavia leading to its dissolution. Parliamentary elections in 2013 and the level of professionalisation of election campaigns

The diploma thesis deals with the professionalization of election campaigns before the parliamentary elections in 2013. The work analysed six electoral campaigns, namely ANO, ODS, TOP 09, KDU-ČSL, KSČM and Úsvit. The aim of the thesis is to analyse and then to compare the degree of professionalization with the mentioned political parties and to verify several claims related to the concept of professionalization. For example, claiming that an expensive campaign means a professionalized campaign. Furthermore, the claim that a professionalized campaign means successful campaigning and election success.
