Tlustá, Tereza ; Gueye, Tereza (advisor) ; Sládková, Petra (referee)
First and last name: Tereza Tlustá Supervisor: MUDr. Bc.Tereza Gueye Ph.D. Opponent of the thesis: Name of the thesis: Use of dance therapy in neurorehabilitation from the perspective of a physiotherapist. Abstract of the thesis: The bachelor's thesis summarises the present level of knowledge and evidence on the impact of dance therapy on motor symptoms of neurological disorders through a systematic review. The theoretical part provides a comprehensive overview of dance and dance movement therapy and their impact on the musculoskeletal and nervous system. A part of the thesis is also focused on the characteristics and scope of physical rehabilitation of neurological patients and the characteristics of symptoms of some neurological diseases, namely Parkinson's disease and stroke. In the second phase, by analyzing the studies obtained by literature search, fifteen recent and relevant articles were included and analyzed. Through analytical analysis of the results of testing and evaluation of each study, it is determined whether and under what conditions dance therapy was effective. The presented articles include studies testing the effect of dance therapy on stability and gait in Parkinson's disease and post-stroke patients. The paper presents a mostly positive conclusion about the effect of dance...
Use of a visual biofeedback in the movement patterns recovery by patients with the central paresis
Gueye, Tereza ; Angerová, Yvona (advisor) ; Smrčka, Václav (referee) ; Kozler, Petr (referee)
We evaluated the effectiveness of two virtual reality therapies (VRT) with visual biofeedback, Armeo Spring® upper limb exoskeleton (Armeo) and Homebalance® interactive system (Homebalance), in early post-stroke rehabilitation. Using a randomized controlled study design, participants within 30 days after stroke with arm paresis (Armeo study) or with balance problem (Homebalance study) were assigned either to the respective intervention group (Armeo IG n=25; mean age 66.5 years, and Homebalance IG n=25; mean age 69.6 years) performing VRT instead of conventional physiotherapy or to the control group (Armeo CG, n=25, mean age 68.1 years, and Homebalance CG, n=25, mean age 65.9 years) having conventional physiotherapy only. Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), Functional Independence Measure (FIM), Fugl Mayer Assessment-Upper Extremity Scale (FMA-UE), Modified Rivermead Mobility Index (m-RIM) and Berg Balance Scale (BBS) were performed before and after the 3-week therapy with 12 therapies. Results of participants <65 and ≥65 years old were compared. Acceptance of both VRTs was evaluated by self-rated questionnaire. In the Armeo study, paretic upper arm function improved significantly in both IG and CG groups, the improvement in FMA-UE was significantly higher in Armeo IG as compared to CG (p=0.02)...

Jančová, Jana ; Gueye, Tereza (advisor) ; Dědková, Miriama (referee)
Title of bachelor thesis: Physiotherapy with a patients suffering from neglect syndrome in subcuse phase after cerebrovascular accident Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with physiotherapy of patients with neglect syndrome in the subacute phase after cerebrovaskular accident. The work consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part solves the problem of neglect syndrome. There is information about etiopathogenesis, types of syndrome and clinical picture of the disease. Furthermore, the work is focused from the physiotherapeutic perspective on diagnostic and therapeutic methods or concepts that can be used to influence the neglect syndrome. In the practical part there is a case report of a patient who was subsequently put together a therapeutic unit. The aim of this section is to demonstrate a possible physiotherapeutic intervention in a patient with neglect syndrome. Furthermore, the practical part describes the results of a questionnaire survey aimed at mapping diagnostic and physiotherapeutic methods that are used in the Moravskoslezsky and Olomoucky regions. The last part points to the possible effectiveness of prismatic adaptation in the rehabilitation of patients with neglect syndrome. In the discussion I deal with a comparison of methods that are described in domestic and foreign...

Title of bachelor thesis: Current Trends in Physiotherapy in Patients with Brain Damage in the Early Stage of the Disease Abstract:
This bachelor thesis deals with current trends in physiotherapy in patients with brain damage in the early stage of the disease. The aim of this thesis is to gather information about commonly used and unconventional methods in physiotherapy after stroke and to evaluate some of the methods in practice.
The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge about stroke and then includes methods that are used in physiotherapy in patients after stroke. These methods consist of conventional and unconventional approaches in physiotherapy. The practical part includes the thesis aim, methodology and three case studies of patients after stroke. The therapy is focused on the use of the Homebalance system, Mirror therapy and the Armeo®Spring device. Each of the patients underwent one of therapies mentioned above. In the practical part the usability of these therapies is also evaluated.
