Analysis of Critical Points in the Transportation of Hazardous Substances by Road

Diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of critical points in the transport of hazardous materials on the basis of which there is given a methodology for selecting safe routes. Thethesis includes statistical data on the total performance in the transport of hazardous materials within the EU states as well as specifies the proportion of transport performance of hazardous materials to the total performance among the individual European countries. For Czech Republic, the thesis also presents a statistical overview of the accident rate associated with this kind of transport as well as deals with the causes and consequences of the accidents occured during the transportation.

Repair and Reconstruction of Steam Turbine

The content of this diploma thesis is proposal of repair, reconstruction of equipment and installation of electrohydraulic regulation of steam turbine. Thesis is given for specific case. At the beginning there is a basic description of repairing turbine. The next part of thesis deals with checking of main turbine parts and recalculation of gland steam. In the following part there is revisional report with repair or exchange suggestions of demaged turbine parts, followed by description of turbine regulation reconstruction. The last part deals with economical evaluation used innovation and recommendations for repairment procedure.

The analysis of internal and external environment of the company will lead to new suggested communication strategy. This new communication strategy could be helpful in effective winning of new customers in the market.

This thesis focuses on the issues of motivation and stimulation of employees in company Gala Prostejov, and the goal is to evaluate current motivation system in the company and propose recommendations that will help to increase work motivation of employees, and also their satisfaction. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts associated with employee motivation. The practical part analyzes the current situation of the company, its evaluation and proposal of recommendations for improvement.

It analyzes the existing problems of the company either directly in the field data backup, or in areas which are closely related to this topic as well. The work includes design of the optimization backup system, so that it is beneficial to the company and also to the employees. These proposals are grounded in theoretical backgrounds, which are also included in this work.

Qualified viewer and his/her viewing habits

In our study we focus on the possibilities of different reception of popular media content among different types of audiences. The term audience is very unstable within the media discourse. In the second chapter, we tried to summarize the possible approaches in audience analysis, audience construction and the discursive changes while operating with the term audience. We added a basic theoretical framework on qualitative research and the possible distinctions of quantitative methods in the second chapter. Possible ways of conducting a qualitative study were also discussed here and embedded within the questions of validity and reliability of quantitative study. We decided to conduct a qualitative study based on the concept of grounded theory (introduced by Strauss and Glaser). In the fourth chapter we tried to introduce a specific category of audience called the "qualified viewer". We have defined this category as university graduates with knowledge of production background of the media institutions and a hypothetical power to accelerate the success of the TV content by intertextualizing it. Using the snowball technique we create a sample of such qualified viewers and conduct in-depth interviews and questionnaire research among them.
