Data analysis from ophthalmologic devices
Brož, Petr ; Hemzal, Dušan (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
In the bechelor theses is a brief overview of anatomy, optic environment and the basic refractive errors of the eye. Listed below are the diagnostic techniques that the patient must undergo before cataract surgery (biometry, keratometry of the eye and subjective measure of visual acuity). The practical part consists of two surveys. In the first research are statistically compared (Wilcoxon paired test, Spearman's correlation coefficient) biometrics methods - acoustic and optical biometry. The second research is evaluated subjective level of uncorrected visual acuity before cataract surgery and after. At the end of this work are discussed and evaluated the results of both studies.
Processing and analysis of ophthalmologic images and data
Brož, Petr ; Hozman, Jiří (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
In this work is describe anatomy and physiology of the cornea. The following are the primary non-inflamatory degeneration of the cornea. Then describe the physical principles diagnostic devices for cornea – keratometer, pachymeter, Michelson interferometr and optical coherence tomography (OCT). At the end of the theoretical introduction is describes the principle of laser correction surgery – LASIK. The practical part is divided into two main objectives. The first task is propose an algorithm for automatic detection of corneal surface and then calculation of corneal thickness and size of the chamber angle in Matlab. The aim of the second task is image flap analysis for boundary detection.
An overview of explosive volcanism on Venus
Baranová, Anna ; Brož, Petr (advisor) ; Tomek, Filip (referee)
An Overview of Explosive Volcanism on Venus - Abstract In this thesis, I aim to provide an overview of explosive volcanism on Venus. The existence of explosive volcanism on Venus is uncertain. Despite unfavorable conditions of high atmospheric density and pressure that hinder explosive volcanic activity, as well as a planetary interior thought to be poor in volatiles that would enable fragmentation, evidence of in the form of putative surface expressions of explosive volcanism on Venus has been proposed - a putative pyroclastic flow deposit, Scathach Fluctus, and a series of locations of radar bright material, interpreted as the deposits of explosive volcanic activity. Numerical modeling of fragmentation and volcanic plume rise has shown that explosive volcanism would only be possible under very specific conditions of vent geometry and location, and magma volatile contents. While H₂O is likely acts as the main volatile on Venus, CO₂ and SO₂ are likely represented in higher percentages in the volatile fraction than on Earth, and hence can lower the required amounts of H₂O to values reasonable under Venusian conditions. If explosive volcanism does occur, it is constrained by the high pressure on the Venusian surface and is believed to exist in the form of pyroclastic density currents, rather than...

The changes of transport flows and accesibility in Pilsen region in relation to the settlement system
Brož, Petr ; Marada, Miroslav (advisor) ; Květoň, Viktor (referee)
The issue of transport is currently one of the most discussed topics, thanks to deepening regional differentiation causing increased demands on the quality of existing transport links. Especially the attractiveness of centers and the existence of good transport infrastructure, stimulating the development of the region (his success), is becoming one of the most debated issues of our times. This diploma thesis deals with the comparison and evaluation of changes in spatial interaction in the settlement of the Plzeň/ Pilsen region in two time slices (1991 and 2001). Analysis of the interactions of traffic will be done by using statistical methods and using GIS technology. Main attention will be paid to the spatial differentiation of the frequency of traffic flows and transport accessibility. Subsequently, the transport characteristics will be compared with the characteristics of the complex importance of settlement, so the basic relationships between these indicators can be found. Keywords: spatial interaction, accessibility, frequency of public transport, traffic flows, transport regionalization, Plzeň/ Pilsen region.
Art and music in the liturgy according to Joseph Ratzinger
Brábková, Luisa ; Novotný, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Brož, Prokop (referee)
The thesis represents the view of Joseph Ratzinger on the importance, function and place of music in the liturgy in accordance with the conclusions of 2nd Vatican Council - in relations of music and liturgy, with consideration of primary and secondary functions of sacred music. The primary function of liturgical music by J. Ratzinger consists in the support of the Word, secondary function means issue between the church and culture. Ratzinger also offers solutions of other problems - inculturation in liturgical music while maintaining a Christian identity and the development of Christian universalism, conditions provided by church for liturgical composers. The presented texts shoe Ratzinger's priorities for liturgical music, especially musical forms and style. These are the properties which can be viewed from many angles and can have a lot of different results.

The Necessity of the Baptism for Salvation in the Light of the Document of ITC
Gál, Miroslav ; Mohelník, Tomáš (advisor) ; Brož, Prokop (referee)
In the Diploma thesis entitled "The Necessity of the Baptism for Salvation in the Light of the Document of ITC" in terms of the document of ITC "The Hope of Salvation for Infants Who Die without Being Baptized" and on the base of the selected parts of the Holy Scripture, magisterial, theological, liturgical texts questions about the necessity of the baptism for salvation of infants and adults are discussed. The baptism is the proper way for all people to be saved. The history of salvation is christocentric; everything is focused on Christ and, vice versa Christ turns to every man, accepts every man. Therefore, one can suppose that for every adult who cannot make an explicit decision for Christ, this Christ acceptation together with its implicit decision is enough for its salvation. On the other side, church prays for those infants who died without being baptized and who could not make neither explicit nor implicit decision for Christ. There are sufficient theological reasons to suppose that these infants will be saved because Christ has accepted also all these children.
