Plan so plan you planner, sustainibility you never reach! Case study of strategic planning of city development of Ústí nad Labem

This thesis deals with description and evaluation of the case of strategic planning process in city Ústí nad Labem. The case is evaluated due to one criterion of sustainable development. The criterion is participation. The thesis is focused on participatory techniques used during the planning process in particular. It combines concept of governance with other sociological concepts of participation. Beside the description and the evaluation of used techniques the thesis focuses also on attitudes and beliefs of planning process participants with regard to idea of sustainable development and participation on planning and decision making. Theoretical part of the research displays the premises and knowledge in the field of participation and planning evaluation. It shows, the premises say that one condition of local sustainable development is using of participatory innovations in local governance. It describes diverse aspects of participation and possible evaluation criteria in particular. Analytical part uses knowledge and concepts of participatory process evaluators as a model for its own evaluation of the case of Ústí nad Labem. Determining the value of gynecological surgery

The aim of the thesis is the valuation of functioning gynecological surgery for the primary purpose of selling this meical practice in the next 5-10 years. The value of this surgery was based on the strategic and financial analysis and compiled financial plan for the next 5 years. The resulting valuation is done first by using the equity method and then by the method of returns and also by relative valuation method. The first two methods were then used as the basis for the valuation by the combined method. All calculated values of the company are set to 31st December, 2013. Finally, it contains the recommendation wheather it is better to sell this medical practice as a self-employed person or a as legal entity.

Cultural standards of Brazil

The first part of my bachelor thesis is theoretical and it is focused on the characteristics of the country Brazil from the historical, demographic, political, economic and cultural aspects. The thesis also describes Brazilian business dealings and business etiquette in Brazil. The second part of the bachelor thesis is rather practical and is dedicated to comparing the knowledge based on Hofstede's cultural dimensions with the results of my own survey, which has been done by the questionnaire method. The purpose of this work was the actualization of the indexes of professor Hofstede's cultural dimensions.

Analysis of the system of care for employees

The aim of this study is to analyze the care of employees in the hotel. In the theoretical part first describes the duty of care to employees, as it requires the labor code, and then voluntary care focused on employee benefits. In the practical part those areas of care workers are investigated at the selected hotel. In the end, an employee satisfaction survey with care workers is provided, whose results are then analyzed and at the same time are being proposed specific recommendations.
