Y Soft Campus - the semi-abandoned shooting range area in Brno-Pisarky
Žáková, Michaela ; Hýl, Petr (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor)
This project is located in Brno-Pisarky behind the Anthropos museum and along the Svratka river. This draft involves a residence of the quickly growing company "Y Soft" which has already outgrown its current land. Besides this land there are other companies and service trades located here, such as a grocery store, kindergarten etc., but also living spaces and big sports grounds. The firm itself is divided into more buildings that are connected by an organically shaped hall made of glass.
Transport of humic substances into leafs
Žáková, Michaela ; Kalina, Michal (referee) ; Klučáková, Martina (advisor)
This bachelor thesis simulates leaf foliar fertilization and describes transport processes of humic substances. Experiments were performed for two areas. The first focused on the flow through the plant cuticle as the main selective barrier. In the second one the transport of humic substances to the leaf was studied. The diffusion process was evaluated by the concentration loss of lignohumate solutions, which served as the medium of humic substances in the solution - leaf model. The results showed the effect of cuticle on nutrient penetration and its dependence on its condition. New findings are the transfer processes of humic substances into the leaves, that have proved effective in a short period of time, mainly at higher concentrations.
Fabrication of transparent oxidic conducting coatings by material printing
Žáková, Michaela ; Krystiník,, Pavel (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
Thin transparent conductive layers containing ATO nanoparticles are a modern material that has found use in a wide range of optoelectronic applications. For liquid phase deposition there were designed and prepared compositions using a „brick and mortar“ approach combined templating agents. A sol-gel solution formed of inorganic precursors of tin chloride and antimony trichloride in the presence of ATO nanoparticles was mixed with a surfactant to improve the structure and wettability of applied films. Polyethylene glycol, polyoxyethylene (20)cetylether, sodium dioctylsulfosuccinate and polyvinylpyrrolidone were used as templating agents. Thin layers of these compositions were applied by the spin-coating method. Characterized parameters were resistivity, thickness and turbidity. A resul compositions showed relatively good electrical properties and high transparency and a potencial to be used for material printing.
New Old Brno Return of living to the city centres
Žáková, Michaela ; Kaštánková, Jana (referee) ; Františák, Luboš (advisor)
The Master´s Thesis showcases a proposal of housing in the centre of the city. The proposal is located near the historical centre of the city Brno. The thesis is mostly done as a urban study and partly in a detail of a architectural study. It includes wider analysis of the current state plus the new proposal, street design and city block detail. In this proposal I think about the need of a green space in the city. In my thesis you are being introduced to few unordinary houses. They are not traditional in a term of city block houses, because they are solitaires. Those forms bring new possibilities for green space in the city and inhabitant´s satisfaction.
The Sudeten German Aristocracy in the first half of the 20th Century: the Example of the Family Hartig
Šebková, Jarmila ; Županič, Jan (advisor) ; Žáková, Michaela (referee)
The master thesis focuses on Sudeten German aristocratic family of Hartig from Mimoň during the first half of the 20th century. The Hartig family - as many other members of the aristocratic elite, Austrian citizens and Sudeten German inhabitants - faced important political changes at that time. The aim of the thesis is to answer the question how did the Hartig family deal with these changes. Special attention was aimed to the cases, in which their roles of Austrian citizens, Sudeten Germans and Czechoslovakia inhabitants came into conflict. The thesis is a case study which deals with the life stories of the Hartig family from the available archival materials. Conducted research exposed that the main aim of the members of the Hartig family was to stay in Mimoň even at the cost of a great financial and social concessions. Their attachment to the family residence in Mimoň was not weakened neither by economic problems nor by changing of the political regimes in the region. Hartig family was willing to litigate with the Czechoslovak offices or on the contrary adapt themselves to the Nazi regime because of their seat in Mimoň. They were reluctant to the subsequent repatriation to Austria after the end of the second world war, although they always perceived Austria as the place of the family's origin and...
Media reflection of Václav Havel during his presidental elections
Žáková, Michaela ; Končelík, Jakub (advisor) ; Nečas, Vlastimil (referee)
The main objective of my diploma thesis is compiling media reflection of Václav Havel during his presidential elections and find out whether it is possible to determine some ideological background of newspapers - their political orientation, a tendentious way of informing etc. Václav Havel is one of the most significant personalities in Czech modern history. This dramatist and writer was several times imprisoned for dissident activity, his dramas and essays were prohibited before 1989. In spite of this he markedly participated in fall of the regime when he dealt with members of KSČ about the future of the state during the Velvet Revolution. Thanks to his political and citizen involvement he was elected the president on 29th December 1989 by Federal Assembly. The next years he succeeded again. He left high politics in 2003 but he continues to comment important national issues. I choose qualitative research as an appropriate method, because it allows a detailed analysis. I am going to use "grounded theory". The result will be a probe into ideological background of two dailies - Rudé právo/Právo and Mladá fronta/Mladá fronta DNES. These dailies have survived the fall of the regime, so they are the only possible variant.
The Wölfling Case. Resignation of Leopold Ferdinand of Tuscany from the Archduke's Position and His Life as an Ordinary Citizen.
Žáková, Michaela ; Županič, Jan (advisor) ; Skřivan, Aleš (referee)
The thesis "The Wölfling Case. Resignation of Leopold Ferdinand of Tuscany from the Archduke's Position and His Life as an Ordinary Citizen" discusses the events associated with the departure of Archduke Leopold Ferdinand (1868-1935) from the Habsburg-Lorraine House. The thesis deals with the Imperial Austrian Family Statute, individual cases of resignation to the rank of Archduke, as well as the issue of violation of family norms in the Habsburg-Lorraine family. The focus is on events surrounding the escape of Archduke Leopold Ferdinand from the court and his subsequent resignation from the Archduke rank. Attention is paid to the cause of this, as well as the dramatic negotiations surrounding his final resignation from the imperial court and family. The thesis also charts the career of the former Archduke (since 1903 Leopold Wölfling) in the position of an ordinary citizen.
Czech nobility in the first third of the 20th century
Sogel, David ; Spurný, Matěj (advisor) ; Žáková, Michaela (referee)
The diploma thesis Czech Nobility in the First Third of the 20th Century analyses the significance of the nobility living in Bohemia after the establishment of Czechoslovakia in 1918. The focus is put on five of the noble families, specifically Auersperg, Buquoy, Czernin, Metternich-Winneburg and Schaumburg-Lippe, their lives, and their strategies in the newly formed republic. The aim of the thesis is to analyse their reactions to the change of the establishment, the ongoing land reform, the abolition of the aristocratic titles and their use leading to the end of their privileged social status as well as the joint of the individual and collective aspects of the nobility. From the methodological point of view, the thesis is based on the concepts of Pierre Bourdieu and Fernand Braudel, specifically the concept of habitus, capital, social fields, longue durée and the so-called new nobility. The introductory parts of the thesis, the historical context, sources, and the methodological approaches, aim to demonstrate the suitability of the use of these concepts for the study of nobility. The following part, empirical part of the thesis, beginning by the fifth chapter, studies the individual fields of nobility, with the first area being the political field. The accent is put on the attitude of the studied...
