Autor: Monika Nováková Instituce: Ústav sociálního lékařství LF UK v Hradci Králové Oddělení ošetřovatelství Název práce: What aspects make life with handicap deifferent ? And is it actually different at all? Vedoucí práce: PhDr. Mariana Štefančíková, PhD. Počet stran: 87 Počet příloh: 10 Rok obhajoby: 2012 Keywords: physically handicapped person, polio, relationships, upbringing, difference Our thesis tries to provide an insight into the life of a woman who has been afflicted with polio since the age of 18 months. We deal with how she herself evaluates the impact of a physical handicap on her life. To what extent her life and the lives of her family have been influenced by the fact that they lived, and some still do live, in a common household and were thus, or still are, participants in life with a physical handicap. We try to show that it is possible to be a fully-fledged member of society even with a physical handicap, to be of benefit to society and in the case of our protagonist, also to be a good mother to your daughter. We try to show that many obstacles, which a physical handicap is credited with, may only play out in the mind of the handicapped person or in the minds of his or her fellow citizens.
Specific role of art-philetic approach as an objective concept to build up inner pre-concepts and self-concepts on young people after psychotic episode
Štefančíková, Mariana ; Slavík, Jan (advisor) ; Helus, Zdeněk (referee) ; Géringová, Jitka (referee)
The subject I am interested in, is not about therapeutic interventions of psychotic disorder. I am concerning on young people as they are, although they suffer by any disorder. I presume they are able to reflect themselves, their inner experience and to work on self-acceptance and growth in the same way as other young people. For that kind of process is important to determine the range of professional area out of clinical practice because in clinical area are expected complications in personality development. I meet with a lot of young people they have experience with psychotic episode but they do not need therapeutic treatment any more. This experience means quite fault in their lives but now is all over and young people appreciate it as existential theme. They need to account and to close this experience and to seek other new ways to continue in their lives. They solve personal, development and relationship crisis as other young people do. It is nothing symptomatic. Simple school education in arts is also not enough because there is no place for a person who complicates the didactics because of his/her specific point of view on the things determined by his/her specific experience. I ask if it was possible to lead creative activities on purpose to give a chance to develop self-esteem and to support...

56 My B.A. thesis entitled "The Problems of Nurses returning to Work after Maternity or Parental Leave" tries to map out the difficulties that nurses usually encounter during the process of returning to work. One of thesis's aims is to defne the nature of the problems facing nurses when returning to the work-place. What interested me was whether motherhood can influence the choice of work-place and what the chances are for the nurses to return to the same position at work. The related question that I examine is up to which point can the professional life be combined with the personal life and how can the nurses keep up with their futher education and qualification during their maternal or parental leave. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the family history, parenthood and motherhood, discrimination in the work-place and the options of care for a small child generally available. I also try to consider the factors influencing the return of women to their professions and the specific characteristics of the nursing professions. The empirical part of my thesis is presented as a piece of qualitative research, in which, on the basis of semi-structured dialogues with five correspondents, I try to describe the situation facing them after their return to work. The data collected in the interviews are...
