Thematic Unit "Development of Nature" in the Context of Biology Curriculum and Requierements of the Framework Education Programme for Grammer Schools

The submitted work constitutes an elaboration of a thematic unit "Development of nature" designed for grammar schools in both expert and methodical aspect. Resulting outputs are a web presentation, two short educational films and two elaborated tutorial programmes based on E-U-R model of teaching. For better understanding and orientation in the curriculum, the look into the past is divided into four zooms: 1) in the scale of milliards, it includes the period from the origin of the Earth until the present; 2) in the scale of millions, it brings closer the Fanerozoicum; 3) in the scale of hundreds of thousands years, it covers the Qarternary era; 4) in the scale of thousands, it corresponds to the Holocene. Elaboration of this thematic unit is tied together with the ongoing school reform. It takes into account the incorporation of Geology educational field into the Framework Education Programme for Grammar Schools and works with key competencies.

Possibilities of implementation of cross-cutting theme of RVP environmental education in teaching different subjects

The work is devoted to the topic, 'The implementation of cross-cutting theme options RVP environmental education in teaching different subjects'. The theoretical part aims to clarify the concept of environmental education. There are defined goals of environmental education, its contents and procedures by which the goals are achieved. Furthermore, in the theoretical part describes the challenge of integrating educational content, as my chosen path to implementation of environmental education in elementary schools. In the practical part of the thesis is first concerned with defining the principles of integrating environmental education into other subjects. Next, I created a part in the practical methodological material for the implementation of environmental education in teaching various subjects taught in elementary schools. The methodology is complemented with concrete examples of implementation issues of environmental education in the teaching of selected subjects.
Role of probation and education programmes in tercial prevention of social deviation

This dissertation is focused on role of probation and education programs in area of tertiary prevention of social deviation. Large amount of youngsters usually fail or break the rules during the program. It was my goal to look over a point of view of adolescents to another implication of probation programs for their lives. My dissertation objective was to reveal the reason of probation programs for youngsters, who attend these programs either voluntarily or obligatorily.Probation officers, who choose the youngsters for program, haven't information about how big importance their clients attribute to sense of probation program and what experience they get. My dissertation is divided into two parts. For first theory. Theory is based on study of available literature, which deals with youth crime. Important part is explanation of the fact, what probation programs are and what is the sense and purpose of them. I will describe current experiences but also new knowledge about research of work with youth and successful foreign projects. The theoretical part is followed by empirical part. I've decided to make this research by form of interviews with clients of PMS, who ended the program successfully. Methods used to study the effects of grazing on vegetation

Calcareous grasslands are one of the most diverse habitats of Northern and Central Europe. Most of the calcareous grasslands were created by human agricultural activities and therefore they need some kind of management for their long-lasting maintenance. These habitats have been vanishing during last few decades and that's why there were many experiments provided all around the world to examine possible ways of their restoration and preservation. Grazing of livestock has been a traditional management in many places and is often being investigated nowadays. The aim of this work is to search and compare methods that are used to experimentally study the effects of grazing on vegetation. These experiments use different methods although they usually have the same goal - high species richness. Most of these studies are from Great Britain, Germany and states of Northern Europe. The analysis of the primary prevention programmes in Liberec region

Topic of my thesis covers the analysis of programmes, related to primary prevention within the Liberec region. Theoretical part of my thesis comprises the identification of basic terms that are related to the development of socio-pathological phenomena and risk behaviour of children and youth. Furthermore, the thesis depicts the prevention system, which is focused on primary prevention of the risk behaviour. An important part of the thesis is the primary prevention as a part of the upbringing process. The theoretical part of my thesis ends with a chapter that is dealing with the community planning process of villages. By means of an empiric investigation, practical part of the thesis analyses the situation within the primary prevention at elementary schools, information on the number of providers and programmes for primary prevention are investigated in the thesis as well. Another important output lies within the needs and attitudes of the villages in the given region.
