Specifics of electoral behaviour in East German states and their reasons
Šebek, Ondřej ; Handl, Vladimír (advisor) ; Šmidrkal, Václav (referee)
This thesis is aimed at voting behaviour and current voting trends in the eastern states of the FRG. During its short existence the right-extremist party Alternative für Deutschland has managed to succeed in regional as well as national policy, mainly due to the votes from the eastern states of the FRG. In my work I am dealing with specifics of the Germans choice during the elections to Bundestag, mainly I am focusing on the eastern states of the FRG. To clarify the reasons for the choice of Alternative für Deutschland in the east, I use the data obtained from the voters during the elections, on which I based the answers to my research questions. The conclusion of the thesis is that voters make decisions based on rational behaviour, as well as party identification, and populism also plays a role in decision-making, due to the promises of Alternative für Deutschland and their criticism of the government. Different results in the eastern states are affected by worse economic situation of the voters, inequality between eastern and western states of the FRG and immutable situation in the last 30 years since the unification of Germany.
Chemical composition of photovoltaic panels
Koudelová, Marta ; Šebek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Tejnecký, Václav (referee)
The bachelor's thesis is focused on the issue of photovoltaic cells and panels. The literature search was formed from selected available literature with the purpose to characterize different types of the crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells and thin-films photovoltaic cells and describe the application of photovoltaic cells in the world and in the Czech Republic. In the next part of this thesis is a summary of current knowledge about recycling of photovoltaic cells and other utilization of layers and their possible impact on the environment. The practical part of the thesis deals with selected samples of PV panels. A few samples of photovoltaic panels were taken for chemical analyses. Chemical analyses are performed of the five samples of the photovoltaic panels. The results of chemical analyses were compared with acquired data from the literature. The results of the multielementary analysis of selected samples was that the photovoltaic panels contain a risk elements (e. g. As, Cd, Sb, Mo). The PV panels also contain economics utilizable elements (Ag). Content of silicon is up to 78,18 % SiO2. Key words Photovoltaic panel, photovoltaic cell, chemical analysis, risk elements, recycling
Usage and environmental stability of MSWI bottom ash in road construction
Pospíšilová, Eliška ; Ettler, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Šebek, Ondřej (referee)
This bachelor thesis is a compilation of scientific and technical literature focused on treatments of municipal solid waste incinerator (MSWI) bottom ash such as carbonation or electro-kinetic remediation for the purpose of the decrease of the contaminant lechability. The carbonation the cheapest solution and is generally used as a first stage of MSWI bottom ash treatment. The second part of the thesis deals with possible applications of MSWI bottom ash for the construction purposes. Addition of bottom ash to the concrete is used as the alternative of natural purposes. Addition of bottom ash to the concrete is used as the alternative of natural gravel. Due to similar physical properties with crushed aggregate, bottom ash is also commonly used as a subbase of roads or pavement in numerous countries. Mixed bottom ash with the Portland cement can also find some applications as a light concrete with similar physical and mechanical properties.
Rare earth elements in electronic waste
Pospíšilová, Eliška ; Šebek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Strnad, Ladislav (referee)
Rare earth elements consist of 15 lanthanides, Y and Sc. They are currently very important materials in many industrial branches (metalurgy, pollishing). One of these options is the usage as the compound of phosphors in electronic devices (television and computer displays. Because of their manufacturing cost, options of recovery from waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) are investigated. This thesis deals with compoud elements of phosphors from displays of type CRT (cathode ray tube) and plasma TV. The 37 samples of phosphors from different displays were taken and processed for study of the compoud elements. Phosphors were separated to 4 subgroups in accordance with the corresponding type of displays: black-and-white CRT television displays (CRT_CB), color CRT television displays (TV_B), color PC displays (PC_B) and monochromatic PC displays (PC_M). The study was carry out by multiple features analysis that combined the inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), the inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES), the resistance furnace with infrared detector (RF-IF) and the atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS). Based on the results of this analysis, main elements and potentionally hazardous elements of phosphors subgroup were defined. Concentration of rare...
