Magnetorheological shock absorber with short response time for train bogie
Šebesta, Karel ; Špalek, Petr (referee) ; Kubík, Michal (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of a magnetorheological damper with a short response time of the damping force for the bogie of a rail vehicle. The largest component, which slows down the response, is the eddy currents generated in the piston group of the MR damper. A rapid onset of damping force is achieved by using a shape approach in magnetic circuit design. The shape approach increases the distance that the eddy currents must travel, and therefore it helps to reduce them. The shape approach is realized by grooving the core and the shell of the MR damper. The proposed fast version of the MR damper is measured on a hydraulic pulsator and its results show a sufficient time response of the damping force. This response does not exceed 8 ms for the primary onset of the damping force. The new fast design of the MR damper combines the greatest advantages of the technology and enables to meet new requirements for damping elements in the rolling stock chassis.
Mechanical design of plastic parts crusher
Šebesta, Karel ; Brandejs, Jan (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the construction of shredder of plastic components produced by 3D printers. The aim of the thesis is to design a shredder whose output components, the so-called flakes, could be used to produce recycled filament. The first part of the thesis covers an analysis of technology of shredding. Furthermore, the properties of shredded material and the requirements for the quality of output granules are determined. Based on the research, the parameters for the efficient shredder are defined. In accordance with these parameters, several variants are created, from which the final design of the two-stage shredder is selected and constructed.

Single chapters are focused on rotor, bearings, motor generator and enclosure of the system. There is shown a basic principle of each component and itsfunction within the battery system, used materials and shapes and other factors influencing the construction. This thesis is also focused on stress analysis of metal and composite rotor, rotor fit with help of magnetic bearings, power transfer with help of motor generator and on the enclosure design of that mechanical battery.
Communication in a bilingual family: Communicative situations with diverse emotional colouring
Horažďovská, Kateřina ; Saicová Římalová, Lucie (advisor) ; Šebesta, Karel (referee)
Bachelor thesis Communication in a bilingual family: Communicative situations with diverse emotional colouring examines the influence of emotions on the speech of younger school- aged multilingual children (specifically in Czech). The theoretical part defines fundamental concepts relevant to this issue based on literature. These concepts mainly include those characteristic of bilingualism, the younger school age period, language management and emotions. The practical part takes the form of a case study, documenting communication within a multilingual family living in the USA. The research material consists of video recordings of children's spoken language and semi-structured interview with the Czech parent. The acquired material was first transcribed and subsequently analyzed. The information from the interview primarily served to create a characterization of the family. Keywords bilingualism, family communication, emotion, younger school age, Czech
Influence of speech on written production in pupils from 3rd and 4th grades of primary school
Bicková, Markéta ; Saicová Římalová, Lucie (advisor) ; Šebesta, Karel (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the influence of the spoken language on the written speech of 3rd grade students. The theoretical part presents the basic concepts of the stratification of the Czech language, followed by the characteristics of a child of younger school age. The practical part contains the analysis of transcribed audio recordings and written speeches of pupils taken in the school premises. The aim was to find out to what extent of common czech and dialectal elements appear in written speech, and whether pupils of a South Bohemian primary school can perceive the difference between standard and common Czech. The work is concluded with a comparison of analyzes depending on the research questions. In the conclusion, the advantages and disadvantages of this research are mentioned, followed by a proposal to continue this analysis.
Syntax of utterances in the early production of Czech-speaking children
Řezníková, Klára ; Saicová Římalová, Lucie (advisor) ; Šebesta, Karel (referee)
(in English): The thesis focuses on the description of syntactic structures that appear in the utterances of Czech-speaking children at an early age represented by a girl aged 2;4 and a boy aged 3;3. The utterances were described in more detail in terms of clause syntax, valency syntax and the theory of semantic participants. The work also describes complex sentences and modality of children's utterances. It is evident that, while children's utterances around their 2nd birthday frequently don't express any verb, and the sentential utterances mainly consist of a subject and a predicate, by the age of 3 the children form far more complex syntactic structures. Around 44% of sentence utterances at this age consist of four- and five-words, and the most frequent structure is a combination of subject, predicate and adverbial location. At the same time, around the 3rd birthday, the child is able to express complex valency frameworks in the target form and to add complexity to the structures by facultative arguments.
Czech textbooks for the Czech School without Borders London
Bočková, Klára ; Šebesta, Karel (advisor) ; Bozděchová, Ivana (referee)
The diploma thesis analyses the textbooks of Czech language for 6th and 7th grade of elemantary school, which were created by Czech School Without Borders in London. Due to the breadth of the topic a wide range of sub-topics is presented in the work: the characteristics of education and pupils of Czech school, its connection to Czech educational system (primarily in the context of the directive on approval clause), textbook theory and last, but not least, communicative concept of language education. With the help of pre-estabilished methods (questionnaire data collection, measurement of the didactic equipment of textbooks, assessment of learning tasks and measurement of the variability index, assessment and analysis of visual materiál) the Czech language textbooks are analysed. Based on the analysis of the textbooks and the report to the granting of the approval clause the thesis articulates the proposals for the modifications of the textbooks. The thesis includes four sample chapters.
Gender in Czech Language Textbooks
Chalupová, Zuzana ; Šebesta, Karel (advisor) ; Převrátilová, Silvie (referee)
(in English): The thesis will focus on whether (or how) Czech language textbooks for apprentices have been gender-balanced in the last 50 years in terms of the representation and representation of men and women, or boys and girls. The core of the thesis will be the analysis of three Czech textbooks for apprentices with different periods of their creation: textbook A. Tejnor et al. textbook written before 1990, O. Hasenblas et al. textbook written in 1993 and N. Kvítková et al. textbook written after 2000. The analysis will look at how men and women/boys and girls are represented in the textbooks (in the texts and exercises used) and how they are represented in the textbooks. A comparison of the results of the analysis of different textbooks could show whether there has been a shift in this respect over the last 50 years and, if so, what kind of shift.
