The design of sand mixer with output range 1-3 TPH
Vlk, Tomáš ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Bradáč, František (advisor)
This thesis follows up detailed design of continuous mixer. This device is used for creation of a molding mixture that is sand based and used in foundry. There are developed individual device knots from the perspective of construction, in this thesis. The result of the thesis is a 3D model of entire device and drawings of selected parts.
Mobile App for Sharing Information about Presence in a Location
Vlk, Tomáš ; Veľas, Martin (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a user-friendly mobile application for Android that will make it easier to share ones's location while keeping their privacy. Instead of the GPS coordinates of the current location, the application only shares the information about the user's presence at the place. For easier sharing, it also offers automatic detection of the presence at a specific place. The result of this work is a application with a user interface that respects the Material Design, which makes it possible to determine the device's presence at a place with a radius greater than 50 meters, but there is no active polling. The application which has been created does not need to be run at all (or any of its background services) and it can detect the device's presence at a specific place and receive messages from other devices. The biggest advantage of this approach is very low energy consumption in contrast to other solutions.
International Tax Planning and its Impact on Company's Economy
Vlk, Tomáš ; Koutný, Jiří (referee) ; Kopřiva, Jan (advisor)
Aim of my master’s thesis on the topic „International Tax Planning and its Impact on Company's Economy“ is to evaluate current business model of the firm Jelko which is using it for products selling to the Slovakia. Based on the currect model analysis I will introduce other models, which could cause higher efficiency of advantageousness. I will analyse advantages and disadvantages of each model and following this analysis I will choose the best model which I will recommend to the firm in order to consider it and eventually to implement it.
Continuous Integration and Delivery by Nix/NixOps in Software Development
Vlk, Tomáš ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with the application of the functional packaging system Nix and its ecosystem (NixOS, NixOps) for CI/CD in agile development. When using these technologies, the problems caused by different environments are virtually eliminated without the need of containerization. The thesis contains a description of the possibilities and the shortcomings of Nix/NixOps and it proposes a general procedure for the use of these technologies in individual phases of agile development and CI/CD. Thanks to Nix/NixOps, the implementation of CI/CD is very simple and the whole process is also reproducible. The output of the work is a set of the examples demonstrating the use of Nix/NixOps in various projects, which is available as open-source. Thanks to this set, the developers can use Nix quickly and easily in any project, without having to study a large amount of materials.
Possibilities of Flax Tax Implementation in the Czech Republic
Vlk, Tomáš ; Penka, Miroslav (referee) ; Kopřiva, Jan (advisor)
The subject of my bachelor thesis is to consider whether the proposal of flax tax presented by Civic Democratic Party (ODS) before elections in year 2006 is beneficial for all layers of population. Proposal of czech flax tax get into context with tax reforms made in other postcommunist countries, especially in Slovakia. Aim of my bachelor theis is to define whether flax tax reform yes, or no.
Diffusion Kalman filtering under unknown process and measurement noise covariance matrices
Vlk, T. ; Dedecius, Kamil
The state-of-the-art algorithms for Kalman filtering in agent networks with information diffusion impose the requirement of well-defined state-space models. In particular, they assume that both the process and measurement noise covariance matrices are known and properly set. This is a relatively strong assumption in the signal processing domain. By design, the Kalman filters are rather sensitive to its violation, which may potentially lead to their divergence. In this paper, we propose a novel distributed filtering algorithm with increased robustness under unknown process and measurement noise covariance matrices. It is formulated as a Bayesian variational message passing procedure for simultaneous analytically tractable inference of states and measurement noise covariance matrices.
