This master's thesis dedicated to the emergency medical services (EMS) call dispatchers as a rather neglected group of healthcare workers. The main focus is put on the profession requirements of this professionally endangered group. Theoretical part of the thesis describes professional problems with an emphasis on psychological phenomena, which are closely related to this profession. There is described both the work of the EMS call dispatcher, the qualification requirements, working environment, types of calls and the specifics of communication on the 155 Czech national emergency line. The social competences are also discussed as factors related to the handling of the given occupational burden. Thesis also describes negative phenomena that may occur as a result of long-term occupational workload such as stress, burnout syndrome and posttraumatic stress reaction, which are associated with key social competencies that make it easier to manage. This bachelor's thesis dedicated to the topic of social networks sites (SNS) as the still relatively new social phenomenon and type of communication. It is primarily focused on issues of potential dependence on social networks sites as a specific form of addiction in the context of Internet addiction. Theoretical part discusses of the addiction, using social networks sites, motivation of users and potential risks that are associated with their use, such as loneliness, isolation or physiological problems. It is primarily focused on the social network site Facebook, which is a relatively new social platform, where more and more people spend their leisure time. It examines the place of this platform within social relationships and interpersonal communication. In the empirical part, there is submitted a proposal quantitative research associated with qualitative part, which focuses on any withdrawal symptoms among users of social network who are showing signs of potential abuse. Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Arts, Institute of Czech Language and Theory of Communication. This bachelor's thesis discusses the topic of written electronic communication on social networks. It is focused on how the features of orality and spontaneity reflect into the written communication. The introduction of this thesis discusses basic literature focused on this issue and describes the attached research material. First part of the thesis is dedicated to the definition and description of basic terms - orality, writing, electronic communication, nonverbal communication and social network - based on specialised literature. The next part outlines the problems of blending spoken and written features of language. The third part analyses the features of orality with specific examples in attached texts and also compares different as wells as concordant elements of online and offline communication. The conclusion of the thesis evaluates to what extent the features of orality are projected into primarily electronic written communication and what is the difference between their influence on online and offline communication.
