Design and implementation of custom home automation device

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the market of commercial smart home devices, then, based on the obtained information, choose one platform and design a solution for implementing your own smart device into the platform. The solution includes several experimental attempts, that try to integrate their own devices into the Google Home platform. The proposed solution deals with the creation of the definition of its own device in the platform for one or more devices in one project. The developed program for the device with the selected microcontroller supports the use of local control of commands on the home network with the help of available protocols without the use of third-party internet services.

The formation and collapse of the electoral coalition of the Christian-Democrats and the Mayors

This thesis analysis and discuss reasons of the formation and collapse of the electoral coalition Lidovci a Starostové which was formed between KDU-ČSL (Christian and Democratic Union - Czechoslovak People's Party) and STAN (Mayors and Independents) as the electoral coalition for Czech legislative election in 2017 but it collapsed prior election. This thesis use analysis of Czech party and electoral systems based on existing theories to find out reasons of the formation and collapse of the coalition. It focus on specifics of both parties as well - history, ideology and organization structure, which may help to explain the aim of the work. Results of research showed that parties were motivated to form the coalition by the possibility of getting more seats in the Chamber of Deputies because of the advantage of electoral system, by possibility to get more votes because of the synergy effect of the coalition and because previous successful cooperation. Slow decision making system of the KDU-ČSL caused by the size of membership base complicated process of the formation of the electoral coalition which was already in time pressure.
