Žemlová, M.: Reality and dream. [Diploma thesis] Prague 2016 - Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Education, Art Education Department, p. 91, (annexes: two pieces of own art work) The subject of this thesis is an individual concept of the main theme - reality and dream. The thesis is divided into three parts, where the first, theoretical, discusses imaging of themes connected with a woman and motherhood, offering a parallel of the traditional male view and female concept of the present. The didactic part brings a search for the ideal way - dream - in an environment hostile to art education at private vocational school. The practical part presents the author's own art work reflecting her personal experience with motherhood. Track the source of the appearance by comparing modern sources and older pictures and also by studying old myths and legends. Research what inspiration how impacted the process of creating new concepts. Study and define terms such as imagination and fantasy. Through scientific research, try to map how the children imagine fantastic creatures and from what pictures and text their images come from. What do children find scary? What ways and techniques stimulate their imagination? Plan and realize an art project following up your findings. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Image of Physicality - Physicality of Image
Slachová, Markéta ; Sedlák, Michal (advisor) ; Fulková, Marie (referee)
In the thesis submitted, I deal with the concepts of human physicality and image and their mutual relationship from the point of view of how physicality can be made present in the image and hence in the very dialogue between an artwork and the viewer. The other part is devoted to artistic contexts. I would like to give examples of various works of art which can be traced by means of confronting the contemporary concept of physicality and the appearance of a human figure coming from the earliest paintings to art actions of the present and contemporary art events. My goal is to try to grasp the relation between image and physicality, especially in the context of art education and possibilities of gallery and museum education. I designed and implemented a large educational project: Painting the flesh - the physicality of painting, that uses elements of visually dramatic conception of art education, emphasizing work with pupils physicality of their own, linked to the contexts of art history and also deals with the theme of interpretation, reproduction and manipulation of paintings. The visual part is called Interpretation as a shift from the painting of physicality to the physicality of painting and is also derived from the topic examined in the work.
Art as a Social Intervention
Peroutková, Pavla ; Fulková, Marie (advisor) ; Sedlák, Michal (referee)
Peroutková, P.: Art as a Social Intervention. [Diploma thesis] Prague 2014 - Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Education, Department of Art education, 99 s. (Attachment: cd with video-documentation) This work is a theoretical study of art as a social intervention with an application on a didactic project in art education. Firstly, it outlines the underlying issues linked to social interventions, especially to participatory art. Secondly, these issues are subsequently examined on diverse approaches on both Czech and international art scenes after 1990. They are connected by the common subject of food, which appears in socially engaged art projects across the whole range of different approaches and strategies. Further, it points to the connection of examined strategies and teaching activities. The phenomenon of art as a social intevention is also used as the main theme in a didactic project implemented in art education, in grammar school and on an author's project.
