Digital camera noise analysis
Weszter, Juraj ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (oponent) ; Štarha, Pavel (vedoucí práce)
In pictures taken with digital cameras, undesirable noise in the form of pixel-to-pixel image intensity variance is present. This thesis, after an introduction to digital image processing, describes the main sources of such noise and subsequently analyses image data recovered from selected camera devices via stochastic methods. Ultimately, a C# software implementing the portrayed methods is briefly presented.

Imaging Reflectometry Measuring Thin Films Optical Properties
Běhounek, Tomáš ; Spousta, Jiří (oponent) ; Zicha,, Josef (oponent) ; Kotačka, Libor (oponent) ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (vedoucí práce)
An innovative method of evaluating thin film optical properties, the so called {\it Imaging Reflectometry} based on principles of spectroscopic reflectometry is presented in this thesis.\ Reflectance spectra of the film is extracted from intensity maps recorded by CCD camera, that correspond to chosen wavelengths, either over selected area or at one point.\ A theoretical model of reflectance is fitted to experimental data (the extracted reflectance spectra) by applying Levenberg~-~Marquardt algorithm in order to determine optical properties, their accuracy and reliability factor used to quantify a convergence successfulness of the reflectance model and hence the quality of the acquired results at given settings in a sense of a sensitivity analysis.

Pattern recognition by means of moment method
Števček, Juraj ; Štarha, Pavel (oponent) ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (vedoucí práce)
This diploma thesis deals with object recognition using moment method. We will recognize the letters from the scanned text. The moment method works with principal moments, these are moments invariant to scaling, translation and rotation. This thesis focuses on a detail description of the moment method, on determining the optimal combination of principal moments suitable for object recognition and to create a program for recognition. For all combinations of principal moments the accuracy of the recognition is calculated and the best option is proposed. The moment method will be compared with the moment invariants method. This method is similar to the moment method but has a different approach to rotation invariants.
