Razyapova, Aygul ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Kopička, Marek (advisor)
This thesis focused on creating a model of a small hydropower plant model (SHPP) and a part of the electricity network in the simulation software "PSCAD" (basing on real sources). The model will be specified on the basis of the data obtained from the measurements to correspond with the real equipment.
Simulation of steady-state and dynamic behavior of low-temperature fuel cell
Smugala, Ondrej ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is concerned with mathematic modelling of low temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). First part of the thesis is focused on explaining the principle of production of electricity by this type of source. The main advantages and disadvantages of this technology are presented there. A division of fuel cells according to the stack temperature and the kind of used electrolyte is also made in this part. Typical technical information is mentioned for every type of fuel cell. The rest of thesis is concerned with the PEMFC. Firstly there is a description of construction of fuel cell and a presentation of applications in the industry. The second part of work includes a mathematical description of steady and dynamic behavior of fuel cell which is based on relations among fundamental parameters and quantities. The other part contains all results of simulation which was made on a model created in Matlab Simulink. Comparison of the results of real measurement with the results of simulation which was performed on a modified model is provided in the last part of thesis.
The development of the model of PV system for electric water heating
Sochor, Tomáš ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with designing of a model of a photovoltaic system for domestic water heating in program PSCAD. In theoretical part, an analysis of photovoltaic systems regarding their connection to electrical grid is made. Then a description of chosen concepts of photovoltaic systems for domestic water heating is made. Furthemore, a photovoltaic cell is described with regard to its mathematical description and influence of different parameters on its volt-ampere characteristics. Also, a common topologies of DC-DC converters are described. Control is also related to these converters, that is why a fundamental MPPT algorithms are described. Practical part deals with designing of chosen concepts of photovoltaic systems for domestic water heating in program PSCAD. A basic simulations with regard to behavior of these systems are performed, especially a relationship with respect to irradiance and temperature. Simulations are then discussed in the conclusion.
Analysis of the legitimacy of use of solar trackers for photovoltaic systems in a given area
Hořava, Pavel ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the Analysis of justifiability of use of solar trackers for photovoltaic systems in given locality. The principle of the photovoltaic transformation, kinds of photovoltaic panels, legislation and a suitability of the Czech republic for photovoltaic systems are roughly characterized in the first part. The second part is about the systems of tracking the photovoltaic panel to the sun and the stationary placement photovoltaic panel. The possibilities of increasing of power of photovoltaic panel and the factors, which influent the power of photovoltaic panel, are detailly described in the third part. The photovoltaic system in given lokality is designed in the fourth part. The experiments are designed, realised and evaluated in the next parts. The experiments are focused on practical verification of the power of stationary placed panel during the day and the year. The last part of this bachelor’s thesis deals with the evaluation of justifiability of use of solar trackers for photovoltaic systems in given locality from many points of view.
The study of ocean energy use
Ficek, Jan ; Foral, Štěpán (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
The present thesis is focused on the study of the energy potential of the seas and oceans, and research of the current state of the use of this energy transformation into electrical energy.
Mathematical modeling of a wind turbine
Osička, Aleš ; Mastný, Petr (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this paper is to acquaint the readers with basic classification of wind turbine configuration by used electric generator, with speed and power control used in power plants and with mathematical model of wind and parts of power plant. Procedure of making model in applications Mathematica and MathModelica is described in the other part of this paper. There were made models of power plants with squirrel cage asynchronous generator, one with pitch control, the other with stall control. In the last part of the thesis comparison of model behavior of both models with the same input conditions was made.
Comparison of Connection Conditions of Photovoltaic Systems in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic
Vašica, Radoslav ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Paar, Martin (advisor)
The objective of this work is an analysis and a comparison of legislative conditions of the connection of the photovoltaic power station on the territory of Czech Republic (CR) and Slovak Republic (SR). Presented are the working procedures for connecting of the power station to Distribution Grid (DG) and requirements of individual documents needed for a successful connection. Listed are also circumstances, which are taken into account during the consideration of the influence for connection, for the safe operation of DG. In the work are discussed the ways of support of constructing buildings of the photovoltaic power plant and the principle of repurchasing energy from renewable sources. The other part of work deals about hybrid photovoltaic power stations (HPPS), thus allowing to the power station to save energy into accumulators. There are the composition and principle of operation of the hybrid power stations. The following part deals with options of connectivity with hybrid power station to the DG. There are explained the advantages and disadvantages of connected and unconnected hybrid power plants to the DG.
Potential of hydro-power engineering in Czech Republic - design of small hydroelectric power station -
Korniak, Daniel ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
Work treat of basic problems of design small hydraulic power plant, mostly in area of design electric parts, turbine-generator unit and interface MVE electric power network. In first theoretic parts it´s described to partition power station after single parameters. In the next part I deal with theory of design building parts MVE. In fourth chapter I already design MVE for elect locality with a view to electric part MVE. To demonstration are here individual characteristics calculate, even if practically it is not necessary, because most calculations are replaced by calculation s in special software. At the close of work I evaluate possibilities water energetic in ČR and general effectiveness of construction suggested MVE
Water energy potential in breeding tanks
Schittenhelm, Dominik ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Morávek, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is divided in several parts. The first part is theoretical and its main focus is the description of hydroenergy and the theory regarding water turbines and their potential use in small hydro powerplants. The second part describes micro hydroelectric power plant design in fishery Bělidlo.
