Network probe module for energy protocols analysis

Energy protocols are already increasingly entering our daily lives. With the development of smart grids, meters and appliances, more and more customers are demanding faster and more accurate consumption readings, as well as efficient information about the status of the energy network and control over energy use. The theoretical part of this master's thesis focuses primarily on the description of energy standards and protocols (IEC 60870, IEC 61850, DLMS and DNP3). Before the design of the analyzer, the network probe was first tested for load and stress. Once the criteria were met a DLMS energy protocol analysis module was created. The output is a set of statistics and values and can be used as a basis for machine learning and artificial intelligence. Furthermore, the thesis described the possible attacks on the energy protocol and proposes suitable detection methods based on the Suricata module.

Energy testbed security

The topic of the thesis is focused on the energy testbed security. The main objective of the work is the implementation of secure data communication of IEC 60870-5-104 protocol in the transmission system testbed according to the standard ČSN EN 62351. Furthermore, a comparison of secured and unsecured communication is included with testing of selected vulnerabilities. Subsequently, control functions related to testbed security were implemented in the control interface.

Creating an industrial scenario using WinCC Unified

This bachelor thesis is devoted to the Creation of industrial scenario by means of using WinCC Unified. WinCC Unified is a visualization tool supporting remote access via the web without the necessity to install softwares. The urgency for using this technology results in particular from the introduction of digitization and the associated simplification of industrial processes. The issue of remote communication is discussed at first which is followed by a description of the basic functions of WinCC Unified. Then various communication scenarios are processed which are the main target of the bachelor’s thesis together with the creation of the HMI library. The work is ended by the topic of analysis of communication load between HMI and PLC depending on the number of animated objects on the HMI screen.

Advanced generator of modern Slow DoS attacks

This thesis deals with the development of a modular generator for slow denial-of-service attacks. The theoretical part discusses in detail the evolution of the HTTP protocol, denial of service attacks, selected slow denial of service attacks and finally mentions some existing generators. It is possible to add any number of additional scripts to the created generator, to which a graphical interface is automatically created. The attacks can be further extended to a distributed version using the created bots, which are controlled thanks to the master-slave protocol proposed in this work. During the attack, statistics are generated and presented in real time within the graphical interface or after the attack is completed.

Parish history in Ústí nad Orlicí and the Roman Catholic Church in Czechoslovakia in years 1948-1961

The thesis follows the history of the Roman Catholic Church in Czechoslovakia between 1948-1961. The first part includes broader theoretical context and the second part contains historical context of the issues which are discussed in the third part. On the example of Václav Boštík, the dean in Ústí nad Orlicí between the years 1934-1942 and 1945-1961, and using the micro-historical method, the thesis demonstrates the running of a parish in a district town during the first thirteen years of the communist totalitarian rule. The options and actions of dean Václav Boštík - an ecclesiastic administrator and statutory representative - in various situations and his decisions, which had a direct and significant influence on the parish, are analyzed in the thesis. At the same time, the presented local situation is compared with the steps of the state towards the Church on the national level, which shows one of possible pictures of the ecclesiastical history in Czechoslovakia in the second half of the 20th century. Jozef Lenart and his political activity 1963-1970

Má diplomová práce především vzhledem k jejímu plánovanému rozsahu rezignuje na pokus být kompletní biografií Jozefa Lenárta, významného komunistického státního a stranického činitele, a omezuje se pouze na sledování jeho politické kariéry v letech 1963 - 1970. Celá práce je rozdělena na dva větší celky s odlišnou koncepcí líčení událostí. První část se zabývá obdobím vymezeném rozmezím let 1963 až 1967. Tuto velkou kapitolu jsem rozdělil na podkapitoly podle tematického hlediska. V nich se zabývám Lenártovým podílem na řízení strany a státu, a tím pádem i na nejdůležitějších politických událostech sledovaného období (rehabilitace, ekonomická reforma). Ve snaze přiblížit Lenárta alespoň útržkovitě jako člověka, jsem učinil také malou odbočku pojednávající o Lenártově životním stylu. Předěl mezi oběma celky tvoří kapitola o Novotn~ho nuceném odchodu z funkce prvního tajemníka. Pro vylíčení Lenártových činů a postojů v bouřlivém období let 1968 - 1970 jsem zvolil chronologicky navazující styl řazení událostí.

Marketing Communication of Winter Stadia and Arenas in the Czech Ice Hockey First League

Název Marketingová komunikace zimních stadionů a arén české hokejové extraligy Marketing Communication ln Winter Stadium And Arenas OfCzech Ice Hockey First League. Cíl práce: Zdokumentovat a analyzovat reklamní prostory a média využívaná v zimních stadionech české hokejové extraligy. Pomocí dotazování zjistit názory vybraných vedoucích pracovníků extraligových klubů na současnou situaci v extralize a marketingu klubu. Vytvořit model marketingově optimálního hokejového stadionu. Metody: Pro získání potřebných dat použiji metodu pozorování pro dokumentaci reklamních nosičů na zimních stadionech. Dále použiji metodu dotazování ve formě interview a elektronického dotazování. Získaná data porovnám metodou komparace. Výsledky: Prezentují marketingové komunikační možnosti zimních stadionů, resp. reklamní média využívaná v halách stadionů a arén. Dále předkládají názory vybraných manažerů na současný stav v české extralize a marketing svého klubu. Ze získaných informací vytvářejí model zimního stadionu s optimálními komunikačními podmínkami. Legal and ethical aspects of the protection of the beginning and end of human life and its dignity

The subject of the following dissertation, as the title states, is to explore legal and ethical aspects of the protection of human life and its dignity. Its aim is not merely to attempt to map the present legal situation regarding the protection of human life in the legal system of the Czech Republic, but also to outline some philosophical and anthropological implications which could have considerable influence on the practical consequences of some legal measures, including general aspects of the protection of human life and the legal regulation of two areas of study chosen by the author, namely assisted reproduction and euthanasia. In this sense the following work does not simply describe the various philosophical- anthropological conceptions in a neutral way, but offers to the reader a possible model which, in the view of the author, best corresponds to the degree of protection that human life and dignity can claim in early and terminal phases, taking a neoscholastic and personalistic view of man and his ontological status, in order to try to deduce from this model ethical implications both in a general sense and in relation to the two above-mentioned areas of application. Religious Life in Czechoslovak Prisons in the Period of the Communist Regime

This thesis deals with Czechoslovak penal system between the years 1948 - 1989 from the view of religion. It investigates the developement of spiritual service in prison, follows its decline after February 1948 and describes in which way the prisoners tried to find a solution to the prohibiton to practice religion in prisons. Further it focuses on religious persecution in communist Czechoslovakia, presents reasons for imprisonment of the members of individual confessions and shows how their faith reflected in everyday life in prison. The author makes a reference to the concentration of priests in closed departements, explains its reason and tries to depict everyday life of these separated communities. He describes in details how the convicted practiced the acts of their religion and he deals with the differences of individual confessions. The work speculates over the sense of imprisonment of hundreds of priests, friars and laymen from some of the Churches in communist Czechoslovakia. It thinks about the power of faith and conviction exposed to cruel physical treatment and mental violence. It also deals with the question of colaboration, relations between members of different confession and between the convicted and warders.
