Transferability of Fracture Mechnaical Characteristics
Dlouhý, Ivo ; Lenkey, G. B. ; Pluvinage, G.
Comprehensive review of proved recent methods for transfer of fracture mechanical characteristics from smaller to standard specimen geometry is supplied thinking at the same time on transferability of these characteristics from laboratory experiments to real components. Application procedures for local approach, master curve methodology, toughness scaling models, dynamic fracture properties and notch sensitivity are workout and discussed.
Sborník semináře KŘEHKÝ LOM
Dlouhý, Ivo ; Chlup, Zdeněk
Contribution presented on one-day workshop paid to problems of mechanisms and mechanics of brittle fracture. Quantitative description of toughness transition behaviour. Problems of constraint indexing parameter and J-integral calculation at elastic plastic behaviour of material. Fracture mikromechanisms and their modelling.
Up-regulation of delayed outwardly rectifying potassium currents in reactive astrocytes after certical stab wound
Anděrová, Miroslava ; Neprašová, H. ; Petřík, D. ; Chvátal, Alexandr ; Syková, Eva
Hypertrophied astrocytes in the close vicinity of the stab wound are characterized by an up-regulation of delayed outwardly rectifying K+ currents and increased K+ accumulation in the vicinity of the astrocyte membrane.
Extracellular space size and geometry in the brain of APP23 mice representing a model of Alzheimer´s disease
Mazel, Tomáš ; Antonova, Tatiana ; Meyer-Luhmann, M. ; Staufenbiel, M. ; Jucker, M. ; Syková, Eva
The decrease in ECS size observed during aging might contribute to increased extracellular amyloid concentration and deposition in APP23 mice.
Alterated diffusion parameters in the brain with kaolin-induced hydrocephalus
Fiala, Jindřich ; Antonova, Tatiana ; Voříšek, Ivan ; Syková, Eva
Compression of the ECS in the cerebral cortex following induction of hydrocephalus, slows down the diffusion of neuroactive substances in hydrocephalic tissue.
Extracellular space volume fraction and geometry in human cortex and glial tumors
Homola, Aleš ; Vargová, Lýdia ; Zámečník, J. ; Tichý, M. ; Beneš, V. ; Syková, Eva
Ecs diffusion parameters in human temporal cortex similar to those previously determined in rat cortex. Volume fraction ? and tortuosity ? are increased in astrocytic gliomas and the higher the glioma´s WHO grade the greater the ECS volume and tortuosity increase. Migration and invasiveness correlate with an increase in ECS volume.
