Author: Tetyana Bezkorovayna Title: The role of means of expression in the speech portrait of Irina Khakamada in post political career Objectives: In the thesis, the features of the speech portrait of Irina Khakamada, a business coach, a public person and a former politician, are considered. The analysis of various expressive means, which form the speech portrait of the speaker and his image as a whole, is made. Methods: The work used methods of descriptive, stylistic and contextual analysis. Results: In the course of the study was confirmed that the use of special means of expression and stylistic devices not only contributes to the pragmatic impact of the speaker on the audience, but also helps in building the image of a public person. Je provedena analýza různých výrazových prostředků, které tvoří řečový portrét mluvčího a jeho image jako celek. Metody: V práci byly použity metody deskriptivní, stylistické a kontextové analýzy. Výsledky: V průběhu výzkumu bylo potvrzeno, že použití speciálních výrazových prostředků a stylistických prostředků přispívá nejen k pragmatickému působení mluvčího na publikum, ale pomáhá i při budování image veřejné osoby.
