Práce se zabývá opodstatněností použití přechodných období na volný pohyb pracovníků v případě tzv. "Východního" rozšíření. Analýza dopadu rozšíření na pracovní trhy původních členských států naznačuje, že migrace za prací není tak velká, jak se očekávalo. Ke stejným závěrům došly i studie založené na ekonometrických modelech či průzkumech veřejného mínění. V práci shrnu teoretické přístupy k migraci a migrační pohyby v Evropě v historii. V další části přiblížím společnou migrační politiku Evropské unie. Další kapitoly se zabývají rozšířením - zkušenostmi z minulých rozšíření (vstup Řecka, Portugalska a Španělska), Východním rozšířením i nedávným vstupem Rumunska a Bulharska do Unie. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org) The paper examines if the transition period restricting free movement of labour is necessary in the case of "Eastern" enlargement. Analysis of the impact of enlargement on labour markets of original states indicates that labour migration has not expected volume. Studies based on econometric models or opinion polls sugest the same conclusions. I will provide the summary of theoretical aproaches to migration and of migration movements in Europe in the past. Then I will summarize common migration policy of European Union. Next chapters deal with the enlargement - the past enlargement experiences (Greece, Portugal and Spain), Eastern enlargement and also recent entry of Romania and Bulgaria.
