This study also assesses the current policy measures and their efficiency in addressing youth unemployment in Ghana. Data for this study was obtained from The World Bank, Ghana Statistical Service, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Using education attainment, it was confirmed that skill mismatched is a contributory factor to unemployment amongst other things. To address the issue of youth unemployment, government must shift its focus on examination oriented educational system to critical thinking and problem-solving approach. Government should also promote vocational training and provide support and incentives to individuals who aim to establish their own businesses to employ others. This would complement the effort of government in addressing the issue of youth unemployment in Ghana.Tato práce se zaměřuje na současné nezaměstnanosti v Ghaně a porovnává nezaměstnanost mladých lidí a dalších faktorů v oblasti bezpečnosti a ochrany zdraví při práci v České republice.
