Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na důležité postavy velkého operního světa přelomu 19. a 20. století, Giacoma Pucciniho a Ruggera Leoncavalla. Soustředí se na život obou skladatelů a souhrn jejich operních děl. Velký důraz je pak kladen především na operu La Bohéme, kterou dopsali oba skladatelé téměř současně. V práci je popsán děj obou Bohém, které ačkoliv jsou napsány na stejný námět románu od Henryho Murgera Scènes de la Vie de Boheme, jsou odlišné a každá vyzdvihuje jiné složky příběhu. Bachelor thesis focuses on important figures of the great opera world of the 19th and 20th centuries, Giacomo Puccini and Rugger Leoncavallo. It focuses on the life of both composers and a summary of their opera works. Great emphasis is placed above all on La Bohéme opera, which the two composers wrote almost simultaneously. The work describes the story of both of Bohém, which, although written on the same subject of the novel by Henry Murger Scènes de la Vie de Boheme, are different and each highlights the other components of the story.
