Práce je zaměřena na analýzu vývojových tendencí bytové výstavby ve vybraných českých městech a jejich zázemích. Bytová výstavba je považována za jeden z hlavních indikátorů probíhajícího procesu suburbanizace. Výstavba je analyzována za období posledních dvaceti let (1997-2016), protože od druhé poloviny 90. let 20. století začal proces suburbanizace v Česku nabírat na síle. Vývoj bytové výstavby je nejprve analyzován na úrovni všech obcí Česka s využitím prostorové analýzy dat. V dalších částech diplomové práce je již analyzován vývoj bytové výstavby a populačních změn ve vymezených funkčních regionech 120 vybraných měst, která jsou kategorizována na základě populační velikosti a ekonomických charakteristik do různých skupin a porovnávána. Ve výsledcích se projevuje postupný nárůst bytové výstavby v zázemí měst, který však byl vlivem ekonomické krize utlumen. Podařilo se prokázat, že se vývoj bytové výstavby ve funkčních regionech měst různých velikostních kategorií a ekonomických charakteristik liší. Nicméně se projevují i jiné faktory, které mají významný vliv na vývoj bytové výstavby a populačních změn uvnitř funkčních regionů měst. Důležitá je zejména geografická poloha, kdy města, která leží blízko sebe nebo většího centra, vykazují podobné vývojové tendence. Klíčová slova: bytová výstavba,... This thesis is focused on the analysis of the housing construction developmental tendencies in selected Czech cities and in their hinterlands. Housing construction is considered as the main indicator of the ongoing suburbanization process. The housing construction analysis covers the last twenty years (1997-2016), because in the mid-1990s suburbanization in Czechia has begun to intensify. The development of housing construction is at first analysed at the level of all municipalities of Czechia, using spatial data analysis. In the next sections of the thesis the development of housing construction and population changes are analysed in the defined functional regions of 120 selected cities. These cities are categorized into groups based on their population size and economic characteristics. The results show an increase of housing construction in the cities' hinterlands, which has been dampened due to the economic crisis. Differences in the development of housing construction between functional regions of cities with different population size and economic categories were successfully demonstrated.
