V roce 2004 proběhl průzkum poškozených trámů bývalé sýpky hradu Pernštejn z 15 století. Při posuzování bezpečnosti a spolehlivosti konstrukce byl kladen důraz na používání kvalitních a přesně vypovídajících diagnostických metod, které sebou nepřinášejí invazivní nebo dokonce destruktivní zásahy do původních konstrukcí a povrchů. což je neslučitelné s požadavky památkové péče. Vzhledem k historické hodnotě byly proto uplatněny nedestruktivní a semi-destruktivní metody při hodnocení skutkového stavu. The summary of selected experimental methods is presented, which were used for studying properties of damaged historic timber. In 2004, the late mediaeval fir beams in the store houses of the 15th century Castle Pernstejn were evaluated.
