Kompozity s matricí z částečně pyrolyzované polysiloxanové pryskyřice vyztužené čedičovými vlákny se stávají křehkými po expozici ve vzduchu při 650-750°C. Možnou příčinou je strukturní transformace vláken spojená s tvorbou krystalických fází při těchto teplotách. Composites with matrix from partially pyrolysed polysiloxane resin and continuous basalt fibres become brittle after exposition to air at 650-750°C. One of possible reasons is a structural transformation of the fibres connected with formation at these temperatures of crystalline phases.
