This bachelor thesis concerns barriers regarding immigrant integration, foreign students coming on behalf of bilateral agreements with Socialistic Republic of Czechoslovakia. It focuses on foreign students originally from developing countries who migrated to Czechoslovakia before the year 1989 in order to partake in University studies and who, after graduation, decided to live in Czechoslovakia and in the Czech Republic. The text is divided into theoretical and practical parts. Within the theoretical sector, the migration phenomenon theories and patterns are presented, as well as referencing the effect of migration in a socialist Czechoslovakia. In addition, the concept of immigrant integration and aspects that are marginally as well as largely significant are mentioned. The practical element includes the results of an analysis of various interviews given by previously foreign students from specific countries and who currently live in the Czech Republic.
