V současnosti se objevuje stále více studií, které ukazují, že mezidruhová hybridizace a s ní spojená genová introgrese mají zcela zásadní vliv na evoluci živočichů. Tyto studie zdůrazňují, že hybridizace a s ní spojená genová introgrese jsou důležitým zdrojem genetické variability. V rámci procesu adaptivní genové introgrese se mezi druhy mohou šířit i adaptivní vlastnosti, které mohou druhům pomoci rozšířit se do nových prostředí. Mezidruhová hybridizace může přispívat ke vzniku zcela nových fenotypů a unikátních evolučních novinek a vést tak k adaptivním radiacím. Hybridizace také může být příčinou paralelní evoluce u mnohých organismů. Další způsob, jak hybridizace ovlivňuje evoluci, se týká speciace. Hybridní speciace může být jednou z příčin vzniku nových druhů, čímž může přispět ke zvýšení biodiverzity. V mnoha případech má však hybridizace zcela opačné dopady a představuje nebezpečí zániku druhů. Cílem této bakalářské práce je shrnutí a vysvětlení výše popsaných procesů a mechanismů jejich fungování, uvést vybrané příklady živočichů, kterých se tyto procesy týkají, a celkově zhodnotit roli mezidruhové hybridizace v evoluci živočichů. Klíčová slova: mezidruhová hybridizace, adaptivní genová introgrese, adaptivní radiace, paralelní evoluce, hybridní speciace There is a growing number of studies showing that interspecific hybridization and gene introgression have a creative role in the evolution of animals. These studies emphasize that hybridization and a gene introgression represent an important source of a genetic variability. Within the process of adaptive introgression, adaptive traits may spread among species and help them to colonize new environments. Interspecific hybridization may also contribute to the emergence of new phenotypes and evolutionary novelties and thus contribute to adaptive radiations. Hybridization can be also a cause of parallel evolutions in many organisms. Another way how hybridization affects evolution is related to a speciation. Hybrid speciation could be one of ways how new species arise, and in this way increase the biodiversity. However in many cases the hybridization has an opposite impact on species richness and present a danger of species extinction by hybridization. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explain and discuss the above described processes, introduces selected examples of animals related to these processes, and finally evaluate the role of interspecies hybridization in animal evolution.
