Užívání tabáku úzce souvisí se změnami tělesné hmotnosti. Po zanechání kouření dochází u většiny pacientů k nežádoucímu váhovému přírůstku, avšak mechanismy vedoucí k hmotnostním změnám při odvykání jsou pochopeny pouze částečně. Několik hypotéz naznačilo dočasné zvýšení krevního tlaku po zanechání kouření. Navíc, obavy z váhového přírůstku po přerušení kouření jsou časté a mohou ovlivnit úspěšnost léčby závislosti na tabáku. Cílem naší práce bylo sledovat změny hmotnosti v závislosti na kouření, jejich možné prediktory, zhodnotit prevalenci hypertenze v závislosti na kuřáckém statusu, popsat změny hladin inkretinů a vybraných hormonálních parametrů po tříměsíční abstinenci a konečně zjistit prevalenci obav ze zvýšení hmotnosti po zanechání kouření a faktory spjaté s jejich výskytem. Sledovali a vyhodnocovali jsme vybrané parametry (anamnestické, dotazníkové, antropometrické, biochemické, hormonální) a hodnotili jejich změnu během úspěšné léčby závislosti na tabáku. Prokázali jsme, že po přerušení užívání tabáku se u naprosté většiny pacientů dostaví váhový přírůstek a dále i to, že více závislí kuřáci nebo ti s minimální fyzickou aktivitou jsou ve zvýšeném riziku vzestupu hmotnosti během odvykání. Získané výsledky svědčí i pro to, že prevalence diagnózy hypertenze se dle kuřáckého statusu po... Tobacco use is closely related to changes in body weight. Undesired weight gain following smoking cessation occurs in most patients. The mechanism responsible for changes in body weight post cessation are only partially understood. Several hypotheses have suggested a temporary increase in blood pressure following smoking cessation. In addition, weight concerns after quitting are common, and may affect tobacco dependence treatment outcomes. The aim of our study was to monitor changes in body weight, blood pressure, incretins and selected hormonal parameters among ex-smokers after three months of abstinence. We also examined factors associated with smoking-related weight concerns. We monitored and evaluated selected parameters (personal history, questionnaires, anthropometric, biochemical, hormonal) and compared before and after tobacco dependece treatment, if patients underwent such treatment. We found that smoking cessation was associated with weight gain. Smokers who were more tobacco dependent or more sedentary were at increased risk. The prevalence of diagnosis hypertension did not differ among non-smokers, former smokers and smokers adjusting for age and BMI.
