Předmětem této bakalářské práce je představení kostela sv. Jana Nepomuckého na Zelené hoře ve Žďáru nad Sázavou v dějinných souvislostech. Pojednává se zde o působení řádu cisterciáků ve Žďáru, v textu je popsána zejména činnost opata Vejmluvy, jeho spolupráce s architektem Janem Blažejem Santinim a také události, které měly vliv na samotnou stavbu i na život lidí. Další zmíněnou osobností je postava P. Matěje Josefa Sychry, kněze a buditele, jehož život je s památkou spojený. Část práce je věnována zpracování relevantních a dosud nezveřejněných materiálů pocházejících z let od konce druhé světové války až do přelomu 20. století a týkajících se problematiky hřbitova zřízeného za ambitem kostela. Velmi zajímavé podněty poskytl archiv církevního oddělení ONV ve Žďáru nad Sázavou, kde jsou zachycena hlášení o průběhu svatojánských poutí pohledem tehdejší státní moci. This bachelor thesis presents the church of St. Jan Nepomucký on the Zelená hora in the Žďár nad Sázavou in historical connections. The work treats activities of Cistercian order in Žďár, particularly the ones of the abbot Vejmluva, his collaboration with the architect Jan Blažej Santini and events, which influenced the very building and a life of peoples as well. Another mentioned personality is P. Matěj Josef Sychra, a priest and revivalist, whose life was connected with the monument. A part of the work deals with a treating of relevant and so far not published materials dating back from 1945 to the turn of the century and relating to problems of a cemetery established at the back of a cloister of the church. Very interesting stimulations were provided by an archive of Church Department of the ONV, where there are recorded courses of the St. John's fairs through a view of a state power of that time.
