Absrakt ' Symbióza je historicky definovaná jako jakéko|i ýzicky blízkésoužitídvou či vícejedincůpatřícíchk ruzným druhům,a to bez ohledu na to, zda výslednouasociaci označímejako vztah mufualistický, komenzální či paraziticý.,Díky renesanci konceptusymbiózy v druhépolovině dvacátéhostoletí(endosymbiotická teorie Lyrrn Margulisové, rozvijející se obor ekologie mikroorganismů) se postupně začalo lkazovat, že symbiotickésvazky jsou zcela zásadníjak pro porozuměníinterakcím evolučním,tak ekologickým' Jako tematický celek se proto úzce doýkají centrální otrízkyteoretickébiologie, tj. jak v úplnostipopsat a pochopit strukfurua fungování biosfery. V souvislosti s exponenciálním nárustem poznatků dí|číchbiologichých diciplín a faktu, že otěaky souvisejícíse symbiotickým soužitímorganismůse dnes ýkají vpodstatě každéhotakového oboru a umožňujínám krom toho úspěšně překačovat bariérymezi nimi, lze konstatovat,žerostepotřebapro rozsáhlou ana|ýzu celéhokoncepfu a jeho obecnéhoi speciálního ýznamu - a to zvláště v biolosii teoretické'která si k|adeza ci!být oboremintegrativním. 7 Abstract Close physical interspecific associations called symbioses are central for understanding both evolution and interactions of all branches of living creatures, as well as shaping the Earth's physical features - in other words, they are essential for understanding the nature of whole biosphere. Symbiotic research takes place in some variation in all fields of biology, and since the nature of the phenomenon apparently has a fundamental importance as an exceptional underlying & unifying scheme, there is growing need for appropriate theoretical analysis. Here I discuss the theoretical frame, definition and history of the concept of symbiotic interactions and its significance and use in theoretical biology.
