Bakalářská práce obsahuje komentovaný překlad první tří kapitol z knihy britských muzikoterapeutů Rachel Verneyové a Garyho Ansdella Conversations on Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy vydané v roce 2010. Cílem překladu bylo zachovat primární informativní a konativní funkce výchozího textu a vyvážit očekávání cílového čtenáře spojená s konvencemi české populárně-naučné literatury a charakter původního textu, který má pro nás neobvyklou podobu neformálního rozhovoru. Překladatelský komentář zahrnuje překladatelskou analýzu výchozího textu, která volně vychází z díla Christiane Nordové. Obsahuje také popis překladatelských problémů a vysvětlení přístupu k jejich řešení. Samostatná kapitola se věnuje typologii posunů, k nimž při překladu došlo. Komentář je uzavřen popisem zvolené metody překladu. The thesis contains a commented translation of the first three chapters of the book Conversations on Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, written by British music therapists Rachel Verney and Gary Ansdell and published in 2010. The aim of the translation was to preserve the primary informative and conative functions of the source text, and to find a balance between readers' expectations associated with conventions of Czech non-fiction literature and character of the original text written as an informal interview, which is quite unusual in the Czech Republic. The commentary includes a translation analysis of the source text, based on the Christiane Nord's model. It also contains a translation problems description and explains their solutions. An individual chapter deals with translation shifts that occurred during the translation process. The commentary is summed up by description of the chosen translation method.
