Bakalářská práce Eduardovský appeasement? Příspěvek k zahraniční politice Velké Británie před první světovou válkou. se zaměřuje na činy Velké Británie před první světovou válkou a klade si otázku, jestli v této době opravdu uplatňovala Velká Británie appeasement, aby se vyhnula blížící se válce. Zkoumá tedy vztahy k ostatním velmocím té doby a především k Německu. Cílem této práce je tedy zhodnocení politiky Velké Británie a následná aplikace teoretických konceptů na tuto problematiku, což povede k zodpovězení hlavní výzkumné otázky. Tato práce nabízí také alternativní koncepty jako teorii rovnováhy moci, rovnováhy hrozeb a komplexní vzájemné závislosti, které můžou taktéž vysvětlovat činy Velké Británie, namísto appeasementu. Bachelor thesis Edwardian Appeasement? A Contribution to the Foreign Policy of Great Britain before the Great War. focuses on the actions of Great Britain before First World War. Analyses whether the Great Britain really used the policy of appeasement to avoid possible war at the beginning of 20th century. Maps steps of British diplomacy and relationships with other superpowers, especially with Germany. The aim of this thesis is to valorize international policy of Great Britain and then application of theoretical concepts on this issue, leading to answer the main research question. This work also offers alternative concepts such as Balance of Power, Balance of Threats and Complex Mutual Dependence, which may also explain the actions of the Great Britain, rather than appeasement.
