Disertační práce Název Polští pracovníci v ČSSR: nevítaná družba Specifika dočasné zahraniční pracovní migrace v socialistickém systému Autor Ondřej Klípa Shrnutí Tématem disertační práce jsou polští pracovníci v Československu, kteří byli zaměstnání na bázi mezivládních dohod. Většinu z nich tvořily ženy. Proces zaměstnávání těchto pracovníků se vyznačoval dvěma specifiky. Prvním je vysoký stupeň regulace ze strany orgánů obou států. Druhým je intenzivní snaha o kontrolu pracovníků, zejména s cílem zamezit jejich kontaktu s místním obyvatelstvem, a kontrola veřejného diskurzu o této pracovní migraci. Hlavní tezí této práce je, že obě specifika vyplývají ze základních charakteristik socialistických systémů, kterými jsou "ekonomika nedostatku" a totalitarismus. V identifikaci těchto charakteristik vycházím z prací Jánose Kornaie. Totalitarismus však pojímám jen jako soubor praktik, které se projevují v různých situacích s různou intenzitou. V práci dokazuji příčinné souvislosti mezi těmito systémovými charakteristikami (nezávislé proměnné) a regulací a kontrolou (závislé proměnné). Vybraný případ proto studuji jako samostatný model dočasné zahraniční pracovní migrace v socialistickém systému. Případ je zasazen také do širšího kontextu blízkých typů pracovních migrací v ČSSR, v ostatních socialistických zemí... Dissertation Title Polish Workers in Czechoslovakia: Unwelcome Friendship Specific features of temporary labor migration in the socialist system Author Ondřej Klípa Summary The aim of the dissertation is to study the case of Polish workers in Czechoslovakia who were employed on conditions set by intergovernmental treaties. Most of them were women. This case had two specific features. First, it was highly regulated by both of the co-operating states. Second, the state bodies tried to control intensively both the workers in order to isolate them from local population and the public discourse of this topic. In this study I argue that both of the features arise from fundamental elements of socialist system, which are "economy of shortage" and totalitarianism. These elements were identified in the work of Hungarian economist János Kornai. Instead of totalitarianism as a coherent concept I use only certain totalitarian practices that were exercised with variable intensity, depending on circumstances. In the dissertation I examine causality between these two fundamental elements (independent variables) and both regulation and control (dependent variables).
