Abstract: Elastic behaviour of unidirectional composites with matrix derived from cured polysiloxanes and reinforced with SiC (Nicalon) or alumina (Nextel) fibres was measured at temperatures up to 1300řC in order to assess limits of their potential utilization as structural material in air environment.
