Resveratrol je polyfenol (3,4',5-trihydroxystilben), který je obsažen v hroznech révy vinné a rovněž ve víně jako nápoji. Uvádí se, že úzce souvisí s tzv. francouzským paradoxem. Předpokládá se rovněž, že kromě resveratrolu jsou též účinné další látky, a to zejména pterostilben a pinosylvin. Resveratrol is a polyphenolic stilbenoid present in Vitis vinifera, as well as in wine, and is responsible for the "French paradox". It is assumed that its derivatives pterostilben and pinosylvin may display similar activities.
