V příspěvku jsou prezentovány možnosti určování polohy sedimentující kulové částice pomocí funkcí implementovaných v jazyce Matlab. Jsou použity funkce konvoluce, detekce hran a binární operace a výsledky jsou porovnány. The paper deals with possibilities how to determine a position of a settling spherical particle with help of functions implemented in Matlab. Functions like convolution, edge detection and binary operation are used and the results are compared.
