Rural tourism in the region Vysočina
PAZDERKOVÁ, Hana
Thesis deals with possibilities of rural tourism in the Highlands region. This part of the Czech Republic is, with its rural character, sufficient number of farmsteads and cottages and cultural and historical potential, very suitable for rural tourism. People go still more and more back to stays in the nature with opportunities for active holiday. Rural tourism is in the Czech Republic in the beginning and although the number of providers of this kind of tourism as well as interest of tourists has been increased during last years, it is not the main source of income yet. The aim of the work is to find out and evaluate the offer and extent of servises concerning rural tourism in the Highlands. As a tool for collecting information was used the questionnaire, which was distributed between providers. On the base of evaluated information, new possibilities of rural tourism development in the region were sketched and ideas to owners of rural tourism buildings were suggested.

The transformation of the hegemonic party: the case of Mexico
Mrvová, Lucie ; Němec, Jan (advisor) ; Paulenková, Kristína (referee)
In many countries there are several political parties in power. In some of them, however, one party is in a position of hegemony. Other political parties are prevented to exercise their real power and often act only as a parties creating an illusion of democracy in a state where it does not exist. The present thesis deals with the hegemonic party systems in terms of their origin and subsequent transition. The thesis is based on the hypothesis that changing the rules of the hegemonic party will lead it to lose its status and power. As a case study of the hegemonic party regimes serves political system in Mexico, Mozambique and Cambodia. The first chapter defines the notion of a political party, party systems theory and transition mode. The second chapter deals with the hegemonic party systems. The third chapter deals with the case of Mexico and its system of hegemonic party. Findings refute the validity of the above hypothesis, since in many countries, even after the successful completion of the transition, earlier hegemonic parties maintain their power and their electoral support is high.

Orienteering club support system
Buk, Jindřich ; Vojíř, Stanislav (advisor) ; Sklenák, Vilém (referee)
Nowadays, an increasing number of processes and life situations is getting IT support. Often the use of the Internet aims to accelerate and simplify existing processes. In addition, there is a big area of social networking that can be complementary. This thesis deals with the possibilities of using web technologies to support the running of a club and its subsequent development. Indeed, the club has the potential to simplify and automate many processes which previously have been carried out by someone in person. It has also a potential to use social networks for its publicity and development. The aim is to first determine what areas of the clubs operations are the most appropriate to be supported by any information system. Another objective is to find out how other clubs already integrate any information systems. The final objective is to design and create a specific application. The first two objectives are addressed through a survey among the leaders of the biggest Czech clubs. Indeed in these clubs, the use of automation and simplification of existing processes could have a great potential. The proposal for a specific application is then based on the previous survey and the field experience of the author. While serving many existing processes in running the club, the proposed application adds many elements of social networking.

The impact of the economic cycle to finance the defense of the Czech republic in years 2004-2014
Heres, Ondřej ; Chmelová, Pavla (advisor) ; Strejček, Ivo (referee)
This bachelor work examines the impact of economic performance on financing the defense sector in the Czech Republic in the years 2004-2014. The main questions are whether this influence is clear and the extent to which is essential for funding this sector. The work also provides a basic overview about development and structure of the Ministry of Defence budget in these years. The theoretical part contains theories of business cycle and public sector and briefly introduces the basic institutions that are tasked to provide a defense. The analytic part analyzes the expenditures and revenues of the Ministry of Defence and assesses their mutual influence and simultaneously the influence of GDP on these indicators. To compare with previous findings, the GPD growth rate and the growth rate of defense expenditures in selected countries of NATO are analyzed in brief in the last chapter. While findings based on data from the Ministry of Defence have rather anticyclical development of defense expenditures, in selected countries of NATO, the development is more procyclical. It highlights the very ambiguous impact of the economic cycle on expenditures in the defense sector.

The influence of stress and life satisfaction of chronic vulvovaginal candidiasis
Hájková, Lucie ; Jílek, Petr (advisor) ; Kestřánek, Jan (referee)
1 SUMMARY In this study we are dealing with the effect of stress and life satisfaction on recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (RVVC). Vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) is one of the most frequent genital infections. It is hypothesized that 75% of women experience during their reproductive age at least 1 episode of VVC in their lifetime. RVVC can be defined as four or more attacks of symptomatic vulvovaginal candidiasis in 12 month period. The true incidence of RVVC remains unknown. Estimates over many years suggest that the incidence is approximately 5%; another recent study shows that the incidence is approximately 8% of women during their reproductive age. Our previous study suggests that the incidence is approximately 7.6%. There were elaborate questionnaires, including a questionnaire on life satisfaction and the level of vulnerability by stress, made for the purpose of this study. Each questionnaire consists of 17 pages and includes 49 questions. Full text of the questionnaire is showed in enclosure. The questionnaire consisted of 15 questions in the bold frames that were tailor-made just for women, who have repeatedly experienced episodes of vulvovaginal candidiasis. A sample of 199 women was interviewed, 184 of them completed our questionnaire (which is 92.5%). By evaluation of questions in the bold...

No one can control a painter artist’s freely thoughts and ideas and although his paintings were under the high pressure and banned by force, the artistic value of his materials never go down. So that I am writing this paper. He, San Minn has broken out the mainstream of Burmese painting field, he never made business paintings as well. He keeps his belief on the art of paints and he is always finding for the new way to make his paintings. His materials are very different from other Burmese painter artists’ materials. His style is unique in Burmese paintings. So I can get a chance to study of his style, ideas, ways of thinking and his determination on the art works. My paper can show a painter artist’s life who grew up under the military rule for 50 years and the situation and history of Burmese painting field. Then not only people who are studying the painting subject, but also other people can know about the subject of Burmese painting and field of artists. I dare say that my paper must be colorful and fruitful. As a painter artist, it seems that he wants his audience to feel his materials but he rare to show his real life behind the pictures. For me, I can get a chance to know about his real life for my thesis paper. xxxxxxxxxx Thesis Statement My thesis can be useful for everybody who is interested in Burmese contemporary art field. Two-step sintering of advanced ceramic materials with various crystal structures
Žalud, Pavel ; Trunec, Martin (referee) ; Maca, Karel (advisor)
The influence of Two-Step Sintering (TSS) process on the final microstructure of oxide ceramics materials with two different crystal structures was studied. Tetragonal zirconia (stabilized with 3mol%Y2O3, particle size 90nm and 140nm ) and cubic zirconia (8mol%Y2O3, 70nm) powders were cold isostatically pressed and pressure less sintered with different heating schedules. The microstructures achieved with TSS method were compared with microstructures achieved with conventional Single-Step Sintering schedule (SSS). The results showed that the efficiency of the TSS of these oxide ceramics was more dependent on their crystal structure than on their particle size and green body microstructure. The method of TSS brought only negligible improvement of the microstructure of tetragonal zirconia ceramics. On the other hand, TSS was successful in the sintering of cubic zirconia ceramics; it led to a decrease in grain size by a factor of 2.

Crisis intervention via electronic communication (on-line chat, on-line videochat)

This diploma disertation deals with the topic of on-line crisis intervention (KI further on in the text) in the Czech Republic (CR), specifically the service functioning of the online chat and videochat. This topic has not been paid attention to so far. The topic concerned is a rather new service area which provides service to the clients in a difficult situation on the internet and which has been working for past few years in a few KI centres (workplaces). No professional has tried to search it systematically or describe it in more detail yet. Considering the fact the internet is a widely used medium in our population nowadays, a high future potential of these services can be expected in the field of psychosociology. Therefore this diploma disertation aims to give a detailed description of the on-line chat and videochat functioning and necessary connections at KI centres (workplaces) in order to create a quidebook to the basics of these services for specialists and amateurs who are interested in this topic. Secondly, this diploma disertation is written to inform about the process of implementing the on-line chat into KI centres (workplaces) at three contemporary providers in CR, and to make the readers understand what the whole process is about. At the same time, this is to compile all the data for a...

A creation of a server - client pair of applications used for marketing research was the main focus of this paper was. These applications can be used for distribution of questionnaires and their subsequent collection by the server, which allows for an output of statistics based on the acquired data. It is not necessary to work with all the applications, it is possible to filter based on one or more categories and only have the selected questionnaires sent. The questionnaire results will be shown in a form of straightforward table in the server’s console window. The XML language has been selected for the storing the questionnaires. All technologies and methods used are described within the essay. An integral part of the module is also the creation of a database of questions, which has been created in the PHP programming language. MySQL has been used as a database server. The application output is an XML file, which can be used as an input for an IMS server. The results of this thesis are demonstrated using screenshots taken during the application testing.

The honeycomb of the jati bee: Iracema as a translation problem
Nesvedová, Kristina ; Housková, Anna (advisor) ; Dufková, Vlasta (referee)
The translation of Iracema represents difficulties on several different levels. To cope with these, it is first necessary to understand the multilayered complexity of Iracema as a work of fiction. That is why, after a brief summary of the plot, I addressed its genre, composition, the aspects of style and, above all, its language. Every work of fiction is obviously influenced by the historical and literary context and by the circumstnaces of its creation. It was therefore necessary to put Iracema into the context of Brazilian romantism and, more specifically, that of nationalist indianism. José de Alencar uses different mythological patterns creating his Iracema; in my analysis of the mythical aspect of Iracema I focused on the impact of these patterns on the formation of the imagery of the Brazilian nation. I attempted to apply the results of these partial studies on the only existing Czech translation of the book. Jarmila Vojtíšková and Jaroslav Vojtíšek translated Iracema in an elegant and easy-to-read style, which, however, ignored some of the crucial aspects, thus making the translation only partially successful. They made every effort to make the story readable without difficulties of comprehension and they took great care to make the Brazilian wildlife, its animals and plants, accessible to the Czech...
