Cichrová, Kateřina ; Lukášová, Eva ; Ourodová-Hronková, Ludmila ; Tejml, Ladislav ; Troupová, Ivana ; Raichlová, Michaela ; Caran, René ; Němec, Luděk ; Čekalová, Antony Sylva ; Bukovjanová, Radka ; Pešek, Vít ; Soukup, Libor
The methodology is a continuation of the work of the team of authors titled Metodika tvorby interiérových instalací a reinstalací (Methodology for Interior Installation and Reinstallation Design), published by the National Heritage Institute in 2011 (ISBN 978-80-87104-86-6). Individual chapters deal in more detail with several phenomena that, in addition to their undeniable and sometimes essential aesthetic role, had a primarily practical purpose in historical interiors. Historic floors, heating elements or upholstery have their irreplaceable place in interiors and they objectively testify to important details of the contemporary lifestyle. With the language of the material they testify to the taste and practical needs of their owners and they are a tangible testimony not only to the technical skills but also to the level of aesthetic sensitivity of their creators. In individual chapters, the publication deals in detail with these phenomena and the impact of their quality on the integrity of the historic interior and its narrative value. One part also describes how to use modern 3D technologies to reconstruct the no longer existing phases of the historic interiors. As an example, the publication presents the reconstruction of two interiors from the Manětín and Veltrusy Castles. The publication mainly provides practical information and instructions on how to apply and implement the maximum respect for the authenticity of the monitored elements (floor covering, historic heaters, all upholstered elements) within the framework of the rehabilitation of historic interiors. The informations are given on the basis of practical examples of possible solutions and supplemented by a large number of illustrative illustrations.

Audio Signal Declipping and Dequantization Using Sparsity-Based Methods
Villa Müller versus Villa Tugendhat - A Comparison of Two Different Restoration Projects of Modernist Buildings
Ksandr, Karel ; Biegel, Richard (advisor) ; Lahoda, Vojtěch (referee)
1 English abstract: Villa Müller versus Villa Tugendhat - A Comparison of Two Different Restoration Projects of Modernist Buildings. The work compares two successful restorations of interwar Czechoslovak avant-garde buildings realized between 1995 and 2012. At first, the respective histories of both buildings are compared since their creation through two totalitarian regimes up to their restoration. The fates of builders and architects of both villas are also described. From the point of view of historic preservation the work describes the state of both buildings before the commencement of restoration. The errors committed by the original designers are also described here. The methodology of restoration of both villas stemming from the professional points of view and relevant laws governing heritage protection is also treated in detail. The emphasis is given on preparation works preceding the design phase - the historic-structural survey, which, in both cases, was conceived as above-standard. Due to their span, these surveys have marked a key moment in relation to the modern cultural heritage within the Czech context. In the last part of the work links and comparisons are given to similar modern cultural heritage objects abroad. The work also documents the influence these two restorations have had on...
Relic cross of Charles IV.
Melkus, René ; Sojka, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Šmied, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present a historical, art-historical, and technological review of the most precious piece of the St. Vitus cathedral treasure - the great Provincial Cross, also known as the Karlstein Cross, or simply the Relic Cross. This prominent creation of High Gothic goldsmithing is linked with the Emperor and King Charles IV (1316-1378) and the year 1357, when the construction of Karlstein castle was finished. This monographic thesis deals solely with the Cross and strives to summarize all existing historical knowledge, while processing literature and sources in the usual heuristic manner. Above all, the thesis includes a thorough description of this craftsmanship artifact, followed by an art-historical interpretation. It aims to differ from other theses in its passion regarding the goldsmithing techniques and its effort to comprehend the medieval means of processing precious metals and gems. The author has chosen this subject in order to familiarize himself with common technological terminology and to use it properly. Therefore, the thesis becomes a theoretical preparation for the author's self-dependent work as a curator in the National Technical Museum in Prague.
Maria Anna of Savoy and chateau Ploskovice
Slívková, Hana ; Sojka, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Šmied, Miroslav (referee)
Annotation: The present thesis is dedicated to the former Czech queen and Austrian Empress Maria Anna of Savoy (1803-1884) and the location of her frequent visits, Northern Bohemia's castle of Ploskovice. Anna Marie and her husband Ferdinand V (1793-1875) chose the castle as their summer residence after the Emperor's abdication in 1848. In order to properly represent the dignity of the former ruler of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine, both outside and inside, it was necessary to adjust the palace significantly in quite a short time, which was successfully realised in the spirit of contemporary rococo style by Czech artists and craftsmen. The individual chapters of the thesis deal with the life story of Anne Marie and the changes of castle Ploskovice - its history, reconstructions, facilities and decorations, especially from the perspective of history of art.

The main part is concerned with the description, placement, iconographical determination of mural paintings and their present state. It especially focuses on analysing and specification of the iconography of different scenes, figures of saints and donators. Style analysis qualifies style resemblance, analogy, parallels and confronts the mural paintings with contemporary book, mural and carving production. It also deals with the problematics of over painting accidental intervention into the monument. This part deduces the probable creation time of the whole interior decoration of the decanal sacristy. The final part evaluates and recapitulates the whole problematics. The diploma thesis offers the first detailed analysis and evaluation of the paintings in the decanal sacristy of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Hradec Králové and provides complete drawing and photographic documentation.
