Dejlová, Blanka ; Bendl, Stanislav (advisor) ; Zvírotský, Michal (referee)
Theme: Child's life in a foster care This Bachelor Paper deals with the points at issue of a foster care, especially living together of foster parents and a child with educational problems taken into care. The goal of this Bachelor Paper is to introduce problems of foster care and show a real case of a child with educational problems and show how this situation is solved in this family. The Paper should provide an answer to what factors could affect educational problems of the child. The Paper is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical ones. The theoretical part is devoted to a description and history of foster care forms in the Czech Republic. It also deals with living together - its preparation, making relations, etc. and subsequent living together - a child's in a foster family development, bringing up, relationships, surroundings, etc. In the empirical part there is a qualitatively focused research in a form of case Study, where an unstandardized interview, an observation and a study and analysis of documents are a tool of data collection. Roma origin, and a passive approach, comfort, laziness, emotional explosiveness, looking up to friends with troblesome behaviour and the age of puberty which intensified the above mentioned have been revealed as the main cause of creation of...
Interspecies transplantations of embryonic germ cels in fish
Fučíková, Michaela ; Pšenička, Martin (advisor) ; Vegrichtová, Markéta (referee)
Primordial gonocytes (PGC) are embryonic germ cells and they are precursors of sperm cells and oocytes. We can identify, isolate and grow them in cell's culture. We can store them in a frozen state in liquid nitrogen for long term. We can transplant these cells into recipient of the same or a close related species, which is sterile in the ideal case. The cells which are transplanted can develop in recipient's body so this recipient can produce the donor's gametes after maturation. Such individual is called germline chimera. The manipulation with germ cells can provide several benefits, for example preservation of germ cells from endangered or valuable species/stains in a gene bank. Or we can shorten generation interval that is convenient for late adolescent species in a case of appropriately chosen recipient. The aim of this thesis is to summarize knowledge about fish PGCs and a possible using of these cells for transplantations. Keywords: primordial gonocytes, germ stem cells, germline chimera, transplantation, surrogate parents

Foster care in the South Bohemian region during the years of 2003 and 2008
ŠIMONOVÁ, Libuše
This paper deals with alternative family care with the main focus being on foster care. The first chapter contains a brief introduction of adoption in order to compare and comprehend the differences between these two forms of alternative family care. The second chapter describes foster care from a historical and legal point of view. After this, we are introduced to all concerned parties - the foster care recipients, the foster care applicants and the authorities involved in the process - we are acquainted with the procedure of foster care mediation. In relation to the set goals, an investigation was carried out for the practical part of the project, whereby secondary analysis of data was carried out using primary documentation of children placed into foster care and foster care applicants in 2003 and 2008. In this instance, the applicants were already foster carers. The conclusion includes an evaluation of the data with the results detailed in tables and graphs. Finally, the time periods in question are compared in order to gain answers to the set research questions.
