The bachelor thesis focuses on the importance of movement of preschool children with visual impairment. The aim of the work is to describe the view of pedagogical worker on the importance of healthy movement in children with visual limits in preschool education, including a comparison with the attitudes of the parents of these children. The next goal is to reveal how and to what extent the kindergarten curriculum for the visually impaired focuses on the importance of healthy exercise, including habits and attitudes. In the work are introduced the basic concepts related to the child of preschool age: visual impairment, characteristics of the child with visual impairment, various specifics of development, preschool education and movement. As part of a qualitative research strategy through semi-structured interviews, the research describes in detail three categories: the focus of physical and recreational activities, the specifics of motor development and the importance of movement in children with visual impairment. We also found similarities and differences in the opinions of teachers and parents of the examined sample and concluded that both groups agree that movement plays a significant role in the lives of children with visual impairments. Interestingly, the reasons why movement is important vary slightly. Knowledge about healthy movement is discovered in some parts of curricular documents and we have evaluated it as extensive. The result of the work is a description of these finding facts and revealing the importance of healthy movement in these children. The work can serve as feedback for possible adjustments in curricular documents in institutions for people with visual impairments, as well as help teachers and students of pedagogical faculties to get an idea of the importance of movement of children with visual impairments and to direct them to the desired movement habits and attitudes so necessary for their future lives.
