The hydration of hyaluronic acid
Průšová, Alena ; Šimon, Peter (referee) ; Kučerík, Jiří (advisor)
Hydratace patří mezi nejdůležitější faktory ovlivňující sekundární strukturu a tím i funkci molekul v živých systémech. Díky vysoké afinitě tvoří molekuly vody specifické struktury jejichž složení a fyzikální vlastnosti jsou ovlivněny přítomností studované látky. Hyaluronan patří mezi biomolekuly s obrovskou schopností vázat a zadržovat vodu. Cílem této práce bylo prozkoumat hydratační vlastnosti hyaluronanu o různé molekulové hmotnosti a vyčíslit množství molekul vody v jednotlivých hydratačních vrstvách. V první části práce byla využita metoda diferenční kompenzační kalorimetrie. V druhé části diplomové práce, na základě rozdílné kompresibility, byla vázaná voda studována metodou vysoko rozlišovací ultrazvukové spektroskopie.
Utilization of thermal analysis in study on water behavior in the vicinity of hydrophilic/hydrophobic surfaces.
Vacek, Jakub ; Obruča, Stanislav (referee) ; Sedláček, Petr (advisor)
The main aim of the bachelor thesis was focused on study of behavior of water in the vicinity of hydrophilic and hydrophobic surfaces using thermal analysis. Based on literature research were designed and realised series of experiments. When solution were used basic methods such as moisture analyzer and more sophisticated method such as isothermal titration calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. The main goal of this thesis was to find out whether these methods are useful for studying the hydration of the surfaces.
Application of thermal analysis in energetics
Skala, Šimon ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (referee) ; Moskalík, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the thermal analysis. The first part contains general information about thermal analysis. The second part provides overview basic types of thermal analysis methods. In the third part there are described in detail two main thermal analysis methods. The last section is focused on realization and evaluation of thermogravimetric analysis of sample of a brown coal.
Thermal analysis of fuels
Šrámek, Zbyněk ; Hrnčířová, Michaela (referee) ; Moskalík, Jiří (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to introduce the field of thermal analysis as an independent scientific discipline. The first section is mostly informative and introduces into a concept of thermal analysis. The second part describes the most fundamental and essential methods of thermal analysis and the last section is focused on evaluating a real thermogravimetric experiment which deals with biomass sample.
Vanadium corrosion of refractory materials
Florian, Ondřej ; Opravil, Tomáš (referee) ; Ptáček, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the influence of vanadium corrosion process on the corrosion and properties of high-alumina refractory products used in gasified on production of synthesis gas from a carbon feedstock, water on oxygen. The composition, properties of refractory product and mutual interaction of corrosion processes was investigated by method of thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy.
The study of degasing process during thermal treatment of advanced ceramic
Kocián, Karel ; Šoukal, František (referee) ; Ptáček, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with mechanism and kinetics of the burnout of additives during thermal treatment of ferrite ceramics. In order to establish this process thermal analysis were used, specifically: simultaneous thermogravimetric determination, differential thermal analysis and thermal analysis with evolved gas analysis (TG-DTA and EGA), high-temperature microscopy (HM), burning test in kiln with controlled atmosphere and high-temperature X-ray diffraction (HT-XRD). To determine the elemental composition after sintering and characterization of the sample, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used.
Stability of salts and complexes of humic acids
Development and assessment of selected properties of emulsion cosmetics
Kuchyňová, Jitka ; Souralová Popelková, Miriam (referee) ; Zemanová, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis focuses on assessment of selected properties of emulsion cosmetic product called Soothing face mask, which is produced by SynCare company. Thesis is targeted on rheological properties of the product. Basic rheological properties were measured by Brookfield viscosimeter in experimental part of the thesis. Short part of the text is dedicated to thermic analysis field, which may provide some useful pieces of information for storage of products in cryogenic temperature and development of emulsion products with good cryogenic-temperature resistance. Chemical properties of Soothing face mask product are expressed by description of particular characteristics of cosmetic ingredients in the product.
Study on phase transitions in humic substances
Grebíková, Lucie ; Šmejkalová, Daniela (referee) ; Kučerík, Jiří (advisor)
The work is aimed to examine the potential applications of temperature modulated differential scanning calorimetry in study on phase transitions in humic acids. Experiments will deal with both humic standards and the solid rests after sequential extraction of specific molecular fractions to reveal their role in secondary structure of humic acids.
High temperature dynamical thermomechanical analysis
Černošková, Eva ; Černošek, Z. ; Holubová, J.
DTMA was used for measurements of NBS 711 model glass. Results were compared with measurement of DSC, TMA and viscosity.
