The Importance of Employee Benefits with Sports Content to Improve the Lifestyle of Employees in Selected Companies with Sedentary Jobs

The aim of this paper is to address the importance of focusing employee benefits on promoting healthy lifestyle choices and exercise. The tools used will involve extensive research in a variety of fields, as well as employee surveys. The authors will focus on providing benefits recommendations and modifications to the benefits structure that will lead to the improvement of quality of life of employees with sedentary jobs.
Monitoring the quality of life of people in sedentary jobs

The goal of the thesis is quality of life monitoring of examined set of people working in sedentary jobs in the age range of 20-60 years. Examined set consists of 100 people (79 female, 21 male). During the monitoring a questionnaire WHOQOL-BREF (WHO,1995) was used, which consists of 26 questions - 2 separate questions and 24 questions which are further separated into 4 domains - Physical health, Psychological health, Social relationships, Environmental health. Acquired data represents respondent's subjective view of quality of life. The thesis is theoretically substantiated by specialized literature and commonly available sources which are focused on the terms such as quality of life, sedentary jobs and health. Practical goal was to evaluate and to interpret the results of the WHOQOL-BREF (WHO, 1995) questionnaire. Evaluation and interpretation of the results is followed by discussion. The lowest value of the transformed score was measured in the area of the environment, while the area of social relations was placed on the 1st place. The mean values of the measured transformed scores for each area were as follows: 71.85 for Physical Health; 71.12 for the area of Experiencing; 72.73 for Social Relations; 69.37 for Environment.
The negative impact of long-term health sessions

The aim of the thesis are definitions of risks and complications due of long-term sitting on a physical and mental health. The theoretical part defines the point of movement in human life and focus on changes close to the lifestyle. The practical part focus on a time spent by sitting, on research of the workplace quality, means possibilities to change body positions, and on compensation of sitting in a free time.

Bachelor thesis summarizes the basic methodology of market research with an emphasis on introducing a new product to the market. Special attention is paid to market research methodology, definition of target groups and selection of appropriate method of data collecting. Theoretical bases are used to design research focused on sales and communication strategy of the specific product - Ásana health chairs - for the Czech Republic. Sub-topics include issues of sedentary jobs and their influence on health problems, cooperation among employees and employers in solving of working environment issues, definition of ideal health chair, motivation to purchase and price test. The results can be used for adjusting the company strategy, further research is recommended in the last section.
