Early Medieval settlement of Zbraslav region. Archeological regional study.

This bachelor's thesis deals with the development of settlement in the Zbraslav region in the Early and High Middle Ages on the basis of archaeological evidence. The main basis for the assessment of the settlement transformation in the region is the catalogue of archaeologically investigated sites and on this basis developed series of maps reflecting the development of settlement in various stages of Early and High Middle Ages. Data obtained on the basis of archaeological sources are supplemented by documentary sources. In the thesis, I deal also with reconstruction of the agricultural background of settlement areas and their relation to the burial sites in the region. In conclusion, I try to assess the overall importance of Zbraslav region for both capital Prague and throughout the Czech basin. Medieval churches in Benešov region in the settlement context

This Bachelor's thesis is about relationship between Early- to High Middle Ages settlements and Romanesque and Gothic churches located in the Czech county Benešov. It is also focused on roads and their Early- to High Middle Ages placement that had an impact on the settlement of this region. Pivotal part of this thesis consists of two catalogues: the Catalogue of Archeological Sites and the Catalogue of Churches. The first catalogue provides a summary of all discovered archeological sites with findings from Early Middle Ages to early phase of High Middle Ages. They are supplemented with archeological sites which are located outside of the demarcated area, but are simultaneously closely related to the settlement of the region. Data from the Catalogue of Churches were used to creation of maps which are depicting the settlement of the region in different time periods. The whole picture is completed with evidence from written sources that are closely related to ruler's, catholic church's, early nobility's and later noble families' possession of properties. The second catalogue contains detailed description of all discovered (and assumed) churches from Romanesque and Gothic periods. Velvary and its surroundings in prehistory

This work is focused on prehistory in Velvary and its surroundings. The main aim is describe findings of archaeological periods and cultures from palaeolithic to roman period, which were found in localities surrounding Velvary. The attention is on findings in City Museum Velvary. Some of them were archaeological described and published in professional literatures, but most of them were not in the attention of archaeologists.
