Jauernig, Jan ; Petr, Jiří (referee) ; Jandora, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with flood protection of the Hustopeče nad Bečvou. The work is divided into three parts. The first part describes the data necessary for the design of flood protection measures. The second part describes the hydrotechnical calculations and the third part describes proposals for flood protection.
Evaluating the effectiveness of complex protection measures in cadastral area Jerlochovice in Husí potok Watershed
Matoušek, Petr ; Sobotková, Veronika (referee) ; Dumbrovský, Miroslav (advisor)
A subject of this Thesis is the design of the complex system of measures of soil conservation in given catchment area, which will serve as a concept of complex land consolidation in cadaster Jerlochovice. Based on the analysis and the land survey, a feasible solution was designed using the hydrological and erosive tools of ArcGIS. For the identification of areas endangered by erosion and for the identification of runoff conditions, the Universal Soil Loss Equation of Wischmeier-Smith was used (in grid modification). Based on the calculated values, the suitable technical and agrotechnical measures of soil erosion control were designed. Each component was designed for the values of Qn from the model DesQ. Subsequently the efectivity of the designed measures was evaluated by the comparison of results of erosive and runoff conditions before and after the aplication of the soil and water conservation measures.
Proposal for adaptation measures to eliminate the climate drought
Šmaus, Petr ; Sobotková, Veronika (referee) ; Dumbrovský, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of the thesis was to propose adaptation measures in the locality to eliminate climate drought. Additionally, the work on the proposed adaptation measures has been assessed in terms of their effectiveness and evaluation of their design. The part and contribution of the work is also to inform about problems related to climatic drought, finding their causes and subsequent.
Urban measures of effective surface water management in urban areas
Vacková, Michaela ; Kročová,, Šárka (referee) ; Polešáková, Marie (referee) ; Urbášková, Hana (referee) ; Kopáčik, Gabriel (advisor)
One of the main challenges in promoting rainwater management into practise is the fact that it was not recognized as an interdisciplinary issue. We should seek ways how to open the problem to other professions, specially for architects and urban planners, who are the key element of its farther development. This work analyzes the reasons of this unsatisfactory state of rainwater management in the Czech Republic and it defines the possible ways how to remedy this state and outlines scenarios of its further development. The default document of the work is czech technical standard "TNV 75 9010 Hospodaření se srážkovými vodami". The new methodological guide, which is part of this work, is based on it. The work extends the range of measures which are mentioned in the standard. It brings new ways for assessing the benefits of the various measures to streamline the application of rainwater management measures in urban space.
Comparison of the effects of rain on the old and new rainfall simulator
Banzetová, Diana ; Vrba, Jan (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This dissertation is focused to modeling of the rainfall in laboratory conditions by the rainfall simulator invented in VUT Brno. Results of the measuring are compared with measured values of the original rainfall simulator located in VVU VSH VUT in Brno by the Kninicky village in 1976-1980. Dissertation verifies rightness of substituting the natural rain with the rainfall simulator on bare soil in the original location, kinetic energy of the rain drops is substituted with the energy gained from the weight of the drops - the flow. Generally the dissertation determines the possibilities of the rainfall simulator's current location.
Design of erosion and flood control measures contributing to water retention increasing in the landscape
Krátký, Jindřich ; Uhrová,, Jana (referee) ; Sobotková, Veronika (advisor)
The introduction of this bachelor’s thesis is focused on analyzing the territory of interest – the cadastral area of the municipality of Vevčice in the South Moravian Region of Czechia. Using ArcMap, USLE2D and DesQ-MaxQ software, the erosion and runoff conditions are evaluated, including the determination of the so-called critical profiles, where the concentrated surface runoff and sediments are currently posing a threat to the built-up area. On the basis of the analyses carried out, erosion and flood control measures have been designed. The measures should ensure the reduction of the average soil loss on agricultural land to permissible values, minimization of peak flows and protection of the inhabitants of Vevčice and their properties. Concurrently, the measures should contribute to water retention in the landscape. Furthermore, locations where the construction of small waterbodies such as a small reservoir, pond or wetland could be considered in the future, positively impacting the retention capacity of the local landscape, have been identified in the area of concern.
Design of erosion and flood control measures in the study case area responding to climate change
Mrázek, Vojtěch ; Larišová,, Lucie (referee) ; Sobotková, Veronika (advisor)
The aim of the work is to design anti-erosion and flood protection in the area of interest KÚ Lukavec to the current state and responding to climate change. At the same time, it is necessary to assess the degree of erosion threat to the soil and analyze runoff conditions in critical areas. The introductory part summarizes information about the studied area and methods for calculation. The erosion analysis is processed in the design part and suitable anti-erosion and anti-flood measures will be proposed. DesQ-MaxQ software was used to calculate the runoff conditions, graphical outputs and analysis of erosion conditions were created in the ArcGIS environment.
Study of possibilities protection against rural zone water
Burešová, Erika ; Roubcová, Radka (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part of thesis deals with the problems of surface runoff, determination of surface runoff and measures to eliminate consequences of surface runoff. There is also mention of water erosion which is an accompanying phenomenon of surface runoff. The second section paper examines the threat to area in the Napajedla city of water. There are two possible solutions to the protection of the territory. For the valuation is used directive to calculate to the drain age of VMP and software HEC-RAS 4.1.0 for assassment the capacity of water equipment.
Evaluation of erosion and runoff conditions in the Fryšávka basin
Špaček, Ondřej ; Kulihová, Martina (referee) ; Sobotková, Veronika (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the erosion and runoff conditions in the basin of the Fryšávka river. The objective of the thesis is the analysis of the soil loss, identification of critical points and profiles, determination of their characteristics and overall assessment of the vulnerability of cadastral territories. Analyses were carried out according to the applicable methodologies, with the use of programs ArcGIS, USLE2D and DesQ-MaxQ. In the assessed territory has been identified 6 critical points and 31 critical profiles. In twenty of them was carried out the calculation of flow rates. The calculated data was complemented by field research and photo documentation. From the evaluated data of the erosion and runoff conditions was made a ranking of the vulnerability. At the conclusion of the thesis are recommended the most vulnerable cadastral territories for further analyses and design of soil and water conservation measures which would mitigate the negative consequences of the identified unfavourable conditions.
Design of erosion and flood control measures for the selected cadastral area
Svoboda, Jiří ; Uhrová,, Jana (referee) ; Sobotková, Veronika (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is in the introduction focused on the evalutation of the current erosion and runoff conditions in the cadastral area of Zádolí u Vysokého Mýta and in the cadastral area Střihanov. The analysis of current erosion and runoff conditions is carried with the use of programs ArcGIS, USLE2D and DesQ–MaxQ. The following is a design of erosion and flood control measures with the main aim of protecting the village Zádolí–Střihanov. Then the design technical measures are dimensioned for the specified design flows. In conclusion of the thesis is evaluated the efficiency of the design protective measures and the average soil loss and runoff quantities are compared before and after the design of the protective measures.
