Measurement of optic detector properties
Smrž, Martin ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Odstrčilík, Jan (advisor)
Purpose of this master thesis is get acquainted with laboratory components designated for measurment of optical detectors, study principials of function of each detector and learn how to work with measuring machines. On the base of this knowledge will be measured spectral, frequency and dynamic characteristics of each detectors. The outcome of the thesis will draft of the laboratory exercise for subject Microscopy imaging technique teaching at the first semestr of follow-up masters studies of Biomedical engineering and bioinformatics at DBME, FEEC, Brno University of technology.
Wavefront sensor
Škaroupka, David ; Jákl, Petr (referee) ; Dostál, Zbyněk (advisor)
When the light passes through optical elements it can cause deformation of wavefront light due to the damage of materials and optical aberrations. The deformation leads to unprecise imaging and deformation of an image. The diploma work mentions wavefront sensing techniques which are important for determination inappropriate errors of optical elements and the specification of their properties. The purpose of the master's thesis is to suggest and investigate wavefront sensing methods after the light passes through the optical element while using the digital micromirror device. The work deals with the topic of wavefront aberrations and geometric optical defects of optical elements. Different kinds of commercial products determined for wavefront sensing are described too.
Design of Portable 3D Scanner
Štigler, Jaroslav ; Rubínová, Dana (referee) ; Sovják, Richard (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor‘s thesis is design of handheld 3D scanner. This scanner belongs in the higher price category. This thesis deals with problems like long working time, watching monitor during scanning, versatility and safety measures from mechanical damage. Ergonomic solution is also very important. This design is based on a simple and functional shaping. Shaping and color solution corresponds with its use in industry. This scanner also can be used in other fields (for example: medical sector, design, archeology, etc.).
Influence of Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation over Optical Network Unit
Sikora, Pavel ; Oujezský, Václav (referee) ; Horváth, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with DBA algorithms used in XG-PON networks. It describes reference appearance of the DBA algorithm, as well as, three specific DBA algorithms discussed in professional articles. Particularly speaking about GIANT, HYRA and modified Max-Min Fair DBA. The thesis provides description of frames utilized by DBA algorithms in XG-PON networks, specifically XGEM frame and XGTC frames. The thesis also presents a simulation tester of DBA algorithms tested on a virtual XG-PON network. Finally, it contains the results of testing these DBA algorithms with a description.
Optical toys and animation puns in art education
Weinhartová, Kateřina ; Raudenský, Martin (advisor) ; Magidová, Markéta (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals briefly with the history of early animation and further transition from pre-animation techniques to the world of film animation. It presents domestic and foreign contemporary work production mainly in the field suitable for working with children. It maps recent trends in the field and their further use through post-production. In addition, it points out parallels and inspirational examples from the film or gallery environment of animation. The didactic part presents the basis of the application of various methods of animation in practice with students. The objectives of the Framework Educational Plan (FEP) are taken into account here. The creative part of the thesis, explores pre-animation techniques using a thematically open set of optical toys (flipbooks, zoetropes, trauma tropes) based on the principle of visual momentum. Keywords : optical, animation, art education, art creation, optical illusion

Simulations Of Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation Algorithms
Sikora, Pavel
This paper deals with dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithms, which are used in passive optical networks. Deployment of these algorithm is appropriate for efficient use of optical fibers. Work focus on algorithm called Hybrid Reporting Allocation and static allocation tested on own developed simulator for ten gigabit passive optical network. Paper include results from simulations.
NATAP – polishing of CNT composites
Thoř, Tomáš
Examined samples are of carbon composite material composed of a cyanoester resin (matrix), carbon fibers (in the form of a fabric) and a carbon nanotube layer (in the form of a piece of paper). The report contains a description of the development of polishing such material on a PU polishing pad in combination with a CeO2 slurry.
